Combine history and culture with beachside bliss when you holiday at the stylish Tivoli Lagos Hotel. Occupying a central location in the Algarve city of Lagos, it’s close to the marina and old town, where you can walk down narrow cobbled streets dotted with ancient churches and alfresco cafes. You’re a 10-minute drive from gorgeous beaches too.
The hotel’s 296 elegant rooms all have a balcony or terrace that overlooks the resort, Lagos or Atlantic Ocean. Our top-floor suite even has views that stretch all the way across the city and beach to Portimao. All rooms are air conditioned and equipped with flat-screen TVs, minibars and safes.
At breakfast, you can fill up on fruit, pastries, cold meats, yogurts and eggs to energize you for the day ahead. We have four restaurants, including a classic Italian and an authentic Portuguese eatery that comes highly recommended. At our main bar you can enjoy an aperitif or live music evenings.
Guests love our many quirky indoor and outdoor public spaces, and the hotel’s Duna Beach Club on the white sands of Meia Praia is the perfect spot for pool parties and weddings.

From the very beginning when we arrived at this Hotel 23rd September 2022 the lady on the Reception was very professional and welcoming. We arrived just after 12.00 hrs and the lady advised that our room may not be ready but she still made a telephone call to housekeeping. Unfortunately it was not ready but we were able to store our cases and go and explore. When we returned back the room was ready, the porter took our cases to the room and it was perfect, room 31 overlooking the pool, very clean, modern and well equipped for our needs. The following morning the breakfast was amazing and I mean amazing I have never seen a hotel accomodate every taste it was absolutely fantastic. I cannot comment on the restaurants available because we like to eat out to taste the culture of the area we are visiting. The pool area looked lovely but we are not pool people we like exploring but that is our choice. We did on return from our days out sit on our balcony which was spacious and had a lovely view of the pool. In the mornings we did see how the hotel pay attention to detail with the cleaners out cleaning the beds and pool area. We did have a drink the bar area one evening which was reasonably priced and it is a lovely area to relax. I would have no problem in recommending this hotel to my friends and family in fact we are looking to book again next September.

A highly recommended hotel! If you drive from Seville to Lisbon, you can stay here for one night! The town is beautiful. This hotel is perfect except for the room! The Michelin restaurant downstairs tastes good too! Especially breakfast, the breakfast is rich and exquisite! The breakfast has fried steak and lamb chops, and the taste is very good! Wow what a find. We just did a google search and found this place and took a chance. So glad we did. We had a 2 bed apartment and it was really spacious. Living/dining area, large kitchen, 2 big bedrooms with en suites and our bed was huge! A garden with terrace and a large balcony overlooking the pool. Staff super friendly and a shuttle takes you down and back from the beach as the road up is pretty steep but only a 15 min walk. The pool area was not that busy or noisy although, as you would expect, it was buzzing and lively. No annoying music playing or kids club type stuff thankfully. All very grown up but lots of families. Nice pool bar serving drinks and good food. Salema itself is beautiful and quaint and rustic too. The only slight gripe I have is that the kitchen is not that well equipped so if you have a large family and don't want to eat out every night this could be tricky. Also if you are a coffee addict like me, the apartment is only equipped with one of those Nespresso things which personally i don't like!!

We got a deal on this place so decided to take the gamble and go. We were not disappointed. We loved it. The place is in the middle of no where but that didn't bother us. There is a minibus service early morning and late afternoon but to be honest Uber is only 7 euros into the town. Fab pool area that wasn't crowded and loved the pool bar and eatery. The villa was up 3 flights of stairs but again that didn't bother us because the villa was massive and clean. The staff are also very nice and helpful. There are 2 or 3 bars a half a mile away and walking on an evening was a pleasure. We also walked to the beach which takes a good 30 minutes but we enjoyed the walk. There is a fantastic restaurant opposite the site gates and a fantastic restaurant on the beach, but beware, they are very expensive. You will struggle to keep a meal for 2 under 150 euros in either of them. The 2 or 3 bars nearby mainly do pizza and a pizza is circa 15 euros. This isolation of this place won't be for everyone, but we loved it and will be back.

ZZHENThis is a large resort with football field, golf course, children's playground, outdoor swimming pool, hotel single room and family room. We booked a one-bedroom (including kitchen, balcony, living room). The location of the hotel is only a short walk from the attractions. 5 minutes, there is a small road to the beach, which is very convenient. The room particularly pleased me that the kitchen supplies are all available (you only need to buy your own ingredients and ingredients), and there are washing and drying machines. Breakfast at the hotel was excellent and the waiters were nice. Since we are self-driving, we cannot give advice on public transportation.
This place was pretty perfect for us! It had everything you need and plenty more too but without being unwelcoming or unfriendly. The staff were so lovely and seemed pleased to help whenever we asked anything of them. The room we stayed in was large, lovely, beautifully clean and provided all we could need as well as looking out over the ocean. We spent 5 nights without any issues at all and really loved our time there. The breakfast each morning was something we looked forward to as it was varied and great quality with variation each day and felt like a real treat. The decor is classy and understated in a way that makes you feel at home but also like you are getting a treat. Upon arrival we learned there was a sauna you could book and use which was small but perfect for us in an evening after good hikes during the day. The pool was cool but kept very well and, with everything, very relaxed and not loud or busy. The place was clearly pretty booked up but never felt busy or anything other than very relaxed and restful for us. Would recommend to anyone looking for a place to rest and enjoy in the area!
GGuest UserVery cute BB tucked away in the city center of Lagos by the water. Staff was very welcoming and the breakfast was a solid continental type. We stayed for two nights and really enjoyed the location of the hotel. Very close to both bus and train station and again in the center of the old city so you can walk to numberous resturants and activities. There are only stairs here however if that is a problem for anyone. We stayed on the first floor and I believe there are only 3 or 4 rooms in total. Would stay here again. Quaint and small.
A serene haven the minute you step into property from street, our junior suite was heavenly comfortable and spacious and clean. Free water every day and amazing breakfasts, peaceful location. Pools small but ideal for a cooling dip . One of if not best place we have ever stayed and amazingly good value too. Great location as well are happy to walk 20 mins into town, or 5 to near beach.
We have been visiting the Hotel Belavista for over 20 years now and have always had a most enjoyable holiday here. The hotel staff are extremely pleasant and helpful, Elke and Zinica on reception go out of their way to ensure that you have everything you require and sort out any problems that might arise. The standard of cleanliness of the hotel is excellent and the housekeeping staff keep the rooms and bathrooms exceptionally clean. Rosa has been there for the 20 years of our visits and works so hard with a real pride in her work. She is an absolute treasure for this hotel. The restaurant and pool bar staff were friendly and helpful and Manny was invaluable in managing breakfast as he has always done. The restaurant would be lost without him. We had a lovely holiday overall and enjoyed our break as we have always done. The hotel is in the process of being renovated and we feel we need to make the following comments. (as the new spa in the basement was not yet open on our visit this year we cannot comment on that). However the pros and cons of the renovations we experienced in our opinion are: Pros: Public areas and rooms have been modernised with new soft furnishings and the bathrooms have had a much needed upgrade. All very nice. New furniture on balcony, 2 chairs plus one comfortable chair (note, 2 comfortable chairs are needed as the chairs round the table are very uncomfortable to sit on and have no arms). Pool furniture has been replaced and is modern with two curtained day beds if you like that sort of thing. Fridges have been retained, an absolute must in the rooms here, along with tea and coffee making facilities. We understand that extra room mirrors and washing line on balcony are to be replaced too. Great news! Cons: sun loungers have been chosen for cheapness and clearly not sat upon by whoever chose them. They have a hard bar under the seat exactly where you sit and they are totally uncomfortable to use. Maybe ok if you only have two nights here but for a week or longer they are dreadful. They require replacing or a foam topper provided, deep enough not to feel the bar. Whilst the new umbrellas are very effective there are insufficient of them to go round if it is very hot. They are also cheap and the one we used already had one corner that had come away from frame. The pool bar has insufficient protection from the sun if you want to sit and eat there. There is a new wooden canopy but it doesn't cover all the tables and still lets sun through. This stopped us eating there at lunch time. Breakfast - oh dear! For twenty years we had the best ever cooked breakfast here - not anymore. The cooked food ie bacon, tomatoes, mushrooms are served in a mountain of garlicky grease and the bacon is no longer the lovely back bacon we used to get - again all on the cheap. We asked for poached eggs every day and only once were they cooked properly, mainly totally hard as bullets or on one occasion totally underdone. We tried to ask
UU4126UBjanicegThis is the email I have sent to the hotel manager on return to UK, I would stress that the apartments, complex, restaurant and staff are superb, but you can see what spoiled an expensive week for me . Dear Manager I would like to thank you and all your staff for a lovely stay in your apartments. My husband and I stayed in apartment 211 from the 10th of September for 7 days. The apartment and complex are very pretty and always clean. The food in the restaurant is well priced and excellent quality. However, I would particularly like to thank all your staff from the maids to the receptionists and the restaurants and bar staff. They are all very helpful and very polite and are a credit to your apartments. We would like to thank Ines as she tried to deal with a slightly distressing problem. You may be aware that in the garden area outside room 211 there is an injured seagull. It cannot fly and was killing the smaller birds for food (which was not pleasant to see and hear – I couldn’t sit out on the balcony), it was also distressing to see the seagull struggle for food and water. Ines tried to get the relevant authority to come and collect the bird but they hadn’t turned up when we left. Of course, now with the terrible wildfires they will be even more stretched. I wanted to ask the management if they could look at this situation and try to resolve it , even if it means paying for a vet to attend and take of the seagull. GGuest UserIt was an excellent experience , all very well starting with very sympathetic and very nice staff , the perfectly clean clothes , very soft the sticky coats , The very quiet environment with a spectacular view of the sea and super clean pool.
LleeniThe location is good, about a 20-minute walk from the train station and bus terminal, and it's very close to the center. The staff are also friendly. The kitchen is a bit small and there is one bathroom for both men and women on each floor, so it's best to avoid busy times. There is a bar on the first floor that is open late, so it can be a bit noisy at night, so it may be difficult for sensitive people.
MManu MThe hostel is of those Spartans, but strong Spartans. To make you understand our double room had a dark window with a black adhesive tape to make dark in the noisy night of Lagos, the common kitchen looks like that of a pro-local who doesn't invite you to use it and the furniture is dated. The room was very clean, with beds made every day and bathroom was always clean, the breakfast included in the price was plenty and varied, and the hostel's location was perfect. Strategic if you think of both the city centre and the beaches, reachable by foot. The price is really ridiculous to be in the middle of Lagos. If you are looking for comfort and luxury this place doesn't make for you. If you stay in Lagos without any pretension with the intention of enjoying 100% beaches and cities, in the essence looking for a base where to sleep, wash and breakfast, then this place is super recommended.
KKarenLoved our stay here in Lagos...it was walking distance to the grotto and the old town. The shared kitchen was a bonus and was really clean. There was a jacuzzi in the back yard but didn't use it. For the price this place was perfect for us.
