"I liked the hotel very much. The most important thing was very clean. Super staff, welcoming, helped with all the necessary information, with tickets, with taxi. Trails on Fitzroy and Torre start next door. The supermarket is not very far, although with the food there is not very much, take into account. The room was comfortable, everything needed to eat, even coffee, tea, sugar, butter, etc. Every day give box with breakfast and put 2 eggs. Excellent apartments."

"It is very convenient as it is near the park entrance and there is a supermarket within 2 minutes. The desk is open 24 hours and the staff is friendly. Above all, the view from the restaurant and garden inside the hosteria is so beautiful. We enjoyed Cerro Torre and Fitzroy while camping at each camp for 3 days with the friendly guidance of the staff. They also helped us store our luggage, so it was a safe and enjoyable trip."

"Hotel with good facilities, comfortable beds, large room and spacious bathroom as well as good heating and hot water.
On the downside, there is only Wi-Fi in the breakfast and reception area and, taking into account that there is hardly any coverage in the whole town, it is very inconvenient not to be able to connect in the room and having to do it alone from there.
I would also like to point out that, except for the girl who is at reception in the afternoon, who is lovely, the rest were quite rude.
For the rest, everything was perfect."

"Good location; nice staff with 24 hours front desk that there is foreign currency exchange! Good breakfast. There is an excellent restaurant on the street just cross the hotel! The roast lamb and beef are delicious with friendly prices that compare with other nearby restaurants."

CChristopherThis hotel was very clean and nicely decorated to make it welcoming and cozy. The front desk personal were very friendly and knowledgeable about the area. The breakfast consisted of sweet breads, jams, cereals, yoghurt, multi grain bread and hard boiled eggs. It was quite enjoyable and filling. The mattresses were very comfortable also. We made a great choice in selecting this hotel.

曽曽小姐It is about 10 minutes away from Main Street and not easy to find the way without a map. However the view from the big balcony of the lobby is very awesome and let everyone relaxing. There is 180 degree view facing the town of El Calafate with nice shading of sunrise and sunset. The staff of front desk is helpful in advising local tour and arranging shuttle bus to airport. The staff of restaurant is nice to explain the menu n Spanish while I can speak in English only.

JJelle SEvery time I I have visited El Calafate 3 times and stayed 3 times in this place, a great location near the shopping street and near the lake (walking distance) a great breakfast served, a money exchange with good rates, a big room to hang out, small but good dorms, good hot showers, well worth its money.

BBakker JanneVery comfortable and clean apartment with lots of space. The kitchen is equipped with all utilities needed for cooking, and if you prefer to eat out, there are many restaurants available within a 10-15min walking distance. It's also just about a 20 minutes walk away from Lago Argentino. Definitely recommend this place!
Extra ♥️: if you don't book breakfast, you can still grab a complimentary coffee and there is refreshing filtered lemon/mint water available all day :)

GGuest UserUnfortunately, due to an equipment issue, I was unable to stay at the hotel. However, the service and communication prior to my arrival were excellent. The staff responded promptly to every request and handled everything efficiently, allowing me to stay at an alternative hotel without any concerns. I am truly grateful for their support and would definitely like to stay here on my next visit.

LLauWe are incredibly happy with our 5nights stay at Poincenot! I had forgotten that we booked a twin bedroom so at check in, I was asking if they have a room with double beds instead, without really hoping for too much. The lady at reception actually went above and beyond, walked up and down & checked a few rooms for us, although in the end we needed to take the twin room which was fine. Breakfast was great everyday, not too much option but can get your morning going for sure. What I loved most was the housekeeping! They turned our bed down daily, kept our room nice and clean which was a joy to come back to after a long day hike. We put the twin beds together and the next day when we returned, they made it a double bed by adding some extra mattress, what a star! I would highly recommend this place - though it’s a bit of a walk from the bus station but you will be surrounded by restaurants and shops anyway.

AAnonymous UserIt has an amazing lake view, but a bit further from the center which makes it a bit hard to walk back and forth to eat etc but if you don’t mind that then it’s perfect.
Lucia at the front desk is incredibly helpful and knows everything you need about the places you want to visit.
It’s clean and comfy.
Only there is no hairdryer and also it can be a bit noisy if you face the road from passing motorcycles at night, but that’s only an issue for light sleepers like me, while my friend was not affected at all.
Overall worth the stay and a good spot to use as your base.

GGuest UserThe hostel is conveniently located very close to the trailhead, and the dorm room was clean and quiet. The music in the living/dining area played all day. It would be nicer if the volume could be lowered or the music turned off earlier in the morning. It was also unfortunate that someone stole my water bottle, which I had prepared and filled with electrolyte for my hike the next day.

SSuiyixingThe hotel is a log cabin with plenty of hot water. When it is heated, the floor is heated and you need to manually adjust the control switch next to the sink. The breakfast is good and mate tea is also provided. The best thing is that the hotel can report various travel routes by itself, which is very convenient.
