What an experience! A real, privately owned château full of louis XV furniture and paintings surrounded by a moat. Breakfast was served by a man wearing white gloves and treating the original silver platters with deference. Slightly run down but this adds to its charm. Close to Beaune so perfect for wine tasting, we cycled the lanes and then picnicked by the side of the moat filled with ancient carp. Don’t miss this. It won’t be there forever. One last thing. There is no sign to say where to drive in, and no obvious place to park. Once in, leave your car next to the abandoned red vehicle then walk across the field and over the bridge. Obvious when you know how.

Nous avions reservé une chambre pour le week-end du 24 au 26 janvier, pour la Saint-Vincent, tournante.. arrivée le vendredi soir., Le propriétaire nous a gentiment accueillis Le château possède un charme désuet que nous avons apprécié. Nous y sommes restés deux nuits dans un calme absolu, un petit déjeuner correct, et un propriétaire passionné et passionnant. Nous avons trouvé ce que nous recherchions.

quelle tristesse ce lieu. Pas entretenu et surtout aucune réglementation sur l'affichage, ni éclairage, chambre sale pleine de poussière obligé de prendre un médicament pas pris de douche car sale. Et le parking est un champ plein d'herbe non taillé. Pas de possible de marcher autour car faites attentionoù vous marchez cables électriques au sol et surtout bout de bois par terre pratique la nuit sans éclairage. Heureusement que nous avions des portables pour nous éclairer.... J'attends toujours le remboursement car inadmissible de louer de telles chambres.

Il faut déjà trouver l'entrée. Portail fermé. l'endroit pourrait être charmant, mais non. On ne sait pas chez qui l'on est, pas d'accueil, pas de réception. La personne en charge du service nous présente notre chambre, petit salon, il est 15h et les volets sont fermés. Un espace brocante plutôt qu'une chambre, nous avons poussé les chaises (cassées) pour ouvrir la valise, un entassement de breloques qui rendent l'atmosphère très lourde. Confort couchage approximatif. Le petit déjeuner se limite à un croissant, du pain/beurre/ confiture bon marché. Cet hébergement n'est seulement dans son jus mais vétuste. Quant au prix, excessif pour si peu d'accueil, de confort et de bien être. Ce n'est pas un hôtel, ni un gîte, mais logement chez l'habitant.
