Yashshree Lachung

This is not exactly a review regarding a stay at the hotel. It is more of a warning to those who are planning to travel to this hotel and Lachung in general. We had booked this hotel for a night towards the end of May 2025. The cost for a nights stay was not so negligible and the highest we had to chalk out during our 10 day trip to North East. 2 days before the trip, we were informed that over 100 tourist vehicles were stranded on the route to Lachung due to landslides. The District Collector also issued an advisory asking tourists not to travel to this destination. We had booked through MMT and promptly requested them to cancel the stay and sent them the advisory. The hotel was non cancellable and the owners took no heed to our plea that no taxi drivers were willing to take us there. So we ended up not travelling to Lachung. I talked to 3-4 drivers. All of them dissuaded me from travelling to Lachung during that week with family as it was unsafe. So when they say, that the hotel booking is not cancellable, it literally means that and this is an area that is very vulnerable. Please take an insurance while planning your trip to this location for cancellation and other potential hazards. The hotel management is also not flexible and they may have their own reasons. Despite informing them that we are unable to travel due to conditions, they declined our special request to cancel. They may have their reasons. But we are the ones on the losing end. So be warned!!

All the staffs were polite and the premises was really maintained well and clean. Rooms are tidy. Daily housekeeping was done. Staffs Abijeet, Mandira and team services were welcoming. Highly recommended for a peaceful stay. There’s also a monastery nearby. Suggestions: Since the place is remote and secluded, bike rental on the premises would be appreciated.

Food is very good and especially buffet is really nice. We stayed for 2 nights and every time the buffet was very good with local dishes and Indian style. The restaurant incharge Abjeeth was very polite and help ful.

Stayed for 2 nights Excellent location, beautiful views looking towards the mountains and the river, the staffs were very nice and polite, welcoming and very helpful. The food quality was good, Nonveg options were very less in Buffet dinner, however it could be ordered at an additional cost. The room rates vary withrespect to the preferred view one should take care before booking if interested on the views from the balcony.

The hotel is the best in the area. It is isolated so you will need to have driver. Great location and lovely views. The buffet is great value. Abijeet looked after us really well, so helpful. The food is very tasty, some items have a kick but worth it. All the staff are amazing, so courteous and helpful.

Amazing view from the place. Great staff. One should visit here when you visit to lachung. Abhijeet attended us at the resort.
