La Cecile Hotel & Cafe Komodo

We got an upgrade to the suite and it was amazing. Great view, nice food and really accommodating, friendly staff. They also arranged a driver for the day for us, and our D much appreciated.
TA’AKTANA, a Luxury Collection Resort & Spa, Labuan Bajo
4.8/531 Reviews
My October 2024 visit to Ta'aktana revealed a remarkable addition to the region. The staff left an indelible impression, demonstrating natural warmth and intuitive attentiveness that set a relaxed tone throughout the stay. The architecture thoughtfully incorporates Manggarai cultural elements, creating an authentic sense of place. The kitchen produces visually striking dishes that deliver on taste, particularly the poached Flores Strait lobster with sautéed cassava leaves and sambal luat. The menu's exploration of regional flavors transformed each meal into a culinary journey. The pool and beach areas, while beautiful, currently have young palm trees that are still growing into their full shade-giving potential. And while I noticed some occasional debris near the rocky beach, these minor details hardly registered against the overall excellence of the experience. The resort's core elements—design, cuisine, and especially service—create something truly special. Ta'aktana operates with a polish that belies its recent opening, offering a distinctive luxury experience in the region. Each element comes together to create something memorable, making it a destination I look forward to revisiting.
Eco Tree O'Tel
4.1/542 Reviews
The location of ECO Tree O'tel is very good because is in the middle of LBJ town centre. I booked for two nights. The room was very clean but very small, our ankle bruised as we keep hitting the bed legs when walking to bathroom & balcony. Functionality issues, the aircon was not cold at all (despite leaving it on the whole day), the windows & balcony sliding door can't close properly, tv remote broken & programme on local TV. I stayed in Rm 17 at level 2, one level below the restaurant. every night till about 1000pm (i think), you will be disturbed by the awful sound stools & chairs being dragged. Wifi to the room very weak, keep disconnecting. The service staffs were very nice, polite and helpful but a lady in civilian (believed to be senior staff, cos the rest were in uniform) wasn't. When making enquiry in her presence during checking-in (in english), the lady heard & replied to the service staff in BI (instead of replying to me), saying something like it's standard to pay for extension & the 3 hours extension is 150K rupiah. The tone & body language was awful (maybe I am sensitive). I felt awful & offended.
Pesona Room and Restaurant
3.5/510 Reviews
We do not recommend this hotel where we stayed two nights to go to the Park of Komodo. The city is generally quite ininteresting and the poor people, we can understand it and I think it is still necessary to take it into account in this opinion. The rooms were a little dirty, the toilets were constantly escaped into the bathroom, we had to ask the bathroom to have it, there was no shower product as stated on the ad and to crown the whole, Despite a beautiful view, we decided not to stay at the restaurant after seeing the head of the juice served. But all this seemed to be pretty funny with staff who certainly need to live in a much worse condition than these ... The staff is not speaking very well English and is not super pleasant, But good doesn't prevent you from visiting the Komodo Park and spending a good stay, given the price you had to expect.
Sudamala Resort, Komodo, Labuan Bajo
4.5/5127 Reviews
Once in a while, we need to getaway from hustle and bustle of the capital city. we always looking for tranquility and convenience. This resort offer both in manners that we have not experience anywhere else. First of all the location. it's not too close to the city center but not too far as well. still walkable but we find that having a motorcycle or car is a convenience. We can enjoy the unobstructed amazing sunset view from the poolside bar. The spectrum of menu from both the food and the beverages are amazing. I recommend the Sudamala Breeze and Ikan Bakar Sudamala (the sambal/spicy paste can be too hot for some) that for me they are the perfect pairing. My wife and my son loves the spa. they offer traditional massage oils. One thing that I love about the place is that it's located right in front of the nicely paved pedestrian path to the city (the stretch of the main road is around 5km and therefore 10km a loop) . I recommend to bring a pair of road trainer and enjoy the early morning jog!
Sylvia Beach Villa
3.6/59 Reviews
Stayed in a villa on the beach, the room was spacious, there were 4 bottles of water, mosquito spray and a mosquito plug in repellent, shower room outside but no problem shower was powerfull and worked well, the view was 5 star a stones throw from the sea, there was a restaurant on the beach food and drink was good a reasonably priced. Sadly a few things stopped it from being 5 stars, there is major building work going on near reception but I was far away from there so did not bother me, litter on the beach needs picking up more often, I hired a canoe and snorkel and mask sea was great and plenty of fish to see, but when I asked for flippers there was only one pair and they were too damaged to wear, my shower room door would not close but I was on my own so again no problem for me, an old speedboat belonging to the hotel left broken on the beach, someone (maybe the owner) ”needs to go round and sort all these small problems, this has the potential to be a five star resort, if it's not sorted it will get bad reviews,
