The Sirena Surf Lodge offers a unique Nicaraguan surfing experience at a great price. While there are other surf lodges in the area, it is the authenticity of owners Greg and Jomar that make Sirena Surf Lodge the place you should choose. Our expectations were consistently beaten during our stay at the lodge. First off, Greg is fully committed to getting you the best waves possible. Whether it be out front, on the road, or by boat, he will put in the effort to find waves. His knowledge of the coastline is undeniable and you’re sure to score when you stay with them. Not to mention you’ll also receive lessons in Nicaraguan culture and history that add depth to your trip. Beyond that, you’ll enjoy impressively diverse and delicious meals throughout your stay. We were also impressed by their ability to accommodate special dietary needs. The rooms are clean, staff members are friendly, and air conditioning works great. Furthermore, we had non surfers in the group who enjoyed their stay just as much. It is a beautiful location to kick back beachside, enjoy a tona and have a swim in the warm water. As is true with all trips, it’s the people you meet that remain in your memory. When you stay with Greg and Jomar they bring you into their world and treat you like family. When a surfing injury occurred, they both went the extra mile to ensure we were safe and taken care of. You can tell they legitimately care about their guests and will do everything in their power to make your stay memorable. I live in Southern Nicaragua. Gregs place has been a vacation from the crazy ness of southern Nicaragua. Family place. Chill great food. Best host. And my favorite person to surf with...besides my kids understandably. Right in front of the point. On the beach. If you want to see some culture león is a 20 min taxi away. I was privladged enough to see so many off the beaten path places. From the baccus especial a platter of food served on a wooden boat to la abuelas a peaceful hotel at laguna de appolloyo...and much more. He's honest. Genuine. And a blast to surf with...you want to spend an evning In león tell him to call the best taxi ever irven. Been in nicaragua 12 years...gregs got it dialed in.

Just returned from a one week stay at the Sirena Surf Lodge and it was amazing. From the accommodations to the food to the surf Greg, Jomar and crew have it dialed in. If you're looking for a carefree trip where somebody else is doing all the work and your just enjoying the journey give this place a try, guaranteed you'll love it.

Serena Surf Lodge is 80 yards from a fun little beach/point break that worked every day we were there.Then there’s a boat that can take you to several breaks North of Miramar, Salinas Grande a ripping beach break and of course the Famous Sandinos, both of which were epic while we were there. The real reason I would pick this place tho is the people that run it. Greg and Jomar are just super hardworking folks that provide a clean comfortable place(with great AC) to stay with3 gourmet style meals per day from them and their kitchen staff(Martina,Theresa Lupita) , Ice cold Beers and soft drinks and a wonderful joyous and friendly vibe. I honestly can 100% recommend this place!!

Was there in january, the hotel is super cool , well positioned right on the beach and in front of the waves! Food is delicious, the rooms are comfortable and cozy, there is an amazing deck on the 1st floor where you can drink your coffee or do some yoga with a stunning view of the waves. Most importantly Greg and Jomar are great guest, make you feel at home, thanks also to a super friendly staff with Carlos, Marta and her daughters. Will certainly come back!!!

I stayed at Serena for a week with two of my friends on a surf trip. It was the most relaxing, enjoyable and fun part of our trip. Greg and his family were very welcoming. We felt like part of the family. The rooms were comfortable, the food was delicious and the waves were epic. The view from the porch atop was paradise. We would spend hours watching waves, doing yoga, reading and sitting in quietness. I will 100% come back. Thanks Serena!!
