Best Hotels near Plaza Doña Fella, La Romana

I definitely would recommend this hotel. From PUJ to hotel is about an hour or so give or take on traffic. It was $90 each way and make sure to mention to your taxi or shuttle service the Hilton Garden Inn otherwise they will take you to the all inclusive Hilton which is about 20 minutes away. The hotel itself is fairly new about few months opened so that was a plus. If you want tranquil, relaxing, and quiet this is the spot. As soon as you walk through the front doors the staff is very welcoming, respectful, and very helpful. Wiley at the desk was amazing for my stay. The restaurant and bar staff wonderful especially Fluery (I hope I spelled it correctly). My room was beautiful with ocean balcony view. I did enjoy the pool, its not heated, but clean, and was maintained each morning that I was there. Pool towels are available for you if needed, and restrooms outside by the pool area. There was some building going on for the 6 days I was there, a concert was for that Saturday night so they were building the stage and stuff, I do wish that I was notified ahead of time so I could have decided to stay or not. Otherwise it was fine you got use to the noise basically. The food was good and they had the buffet for breakfast. There is a cute gift shop area located by the front desk. I did get to speak briefly to the GM upon my departure she was very nice. The owner Edwin was nice seen him a couple of times in the lobby/bar area during my stay, he was preparing for the concert. Make sure to visit the pier/tower/boat dock area that’s in back of the hotel. It has a mini beach area to swim, as well as take great photos and a shop that makes drinks. You will feel safe at this property with in in house security and the military personnel that is stationed outside back of hotel. It’s simply gorgeous! If you need to get groceries or anything they have the supermarket that is not far away called Jumbo. If you want to book an excursion you can go to front desk and they will assist you! The con for this property is no ATM, make sure you bring enough cash if you are looking to tip.

The hotel is super central in the place. All you need is reachable in 5min (the place is not so large in itself) The checkin has worked super fix and the two booked rooms were also as shown in the pictures. Rooms work through the floor and furniture quite dark, but let nothing miss. Daily we were asked whether we wanted to clean the rooms. Owner José was a supporter and helped with all questions. When I come to this hotel, I'd like to come back to this hotel. Theme ”Noise”: whoever travels to the Dominican Republic will soon realize that the Dominicans like a little more loud. So here too. Not every evening, but always plays sound music and the sound motorcycles drive through the small streets. But this theme has nothing changed in the cozy atmosphere of the hotel. It is a ”usuality” that you find in many places. The only preaching of the church on Monday evening, which was to hear up to 23Uhr throughout the place, was new to me.

It was one of the best holidays I had and I am glad I have chosen this place to stay. Very calm and relaxing, not massive just perfect size. We had massive room with everything we needed. Everyday good selection of food and drinks. All bars were great. It was great as well you could book dinner experience with exceptional views of the sea (very special at sunset time) Place outside had few swimming pools..I loved that you could just chill in those pools and have amazing sea view. But most importantly the staff was super friendly and helpful. Lots of entertainment during all day. You wont get bored. Every evening some different shows and parties so not really a need to go outside and look for local bars. All in one place. Big shout out to Channel, Papi Juan Nathalie and Bellota. Super friendly and they helped a lot with every night being a special night. Thanks for helping us to create special Dominican Republic 🇩🇴 memories.
