Horrible hotel. First room had no mattress in the pull out bed and no air conditioning so they moved us. Second room the TV did not work so they moved us. Third room the TV remote control didn't work. It was too late to move to another room so we went to bed. Front desk worker spoke very little English. Avoid this place.

I travel to LPTX often, but wouldn’t stay here again. It’s very musty smelling, the breakfast was cold and stale despite us being the first there to eat that morning and the milk pitcher was sour.

Its a nice place quiet and seems safe. Not many people check that time. Its decent clean . My only issue is the morning breakfast my first day is good but second till my fourth day no Banana refills and coffee. I did feedback it on my second day about the coffee but still not done.

I have huge concerns with this hotel. 1.) the elevator smells HEAVY like *********. 2.) the room we were put in smelled like mildew and everything was wet-the floor, the couch, the beds.... I went to the front desk to try to get a different room, but as I waited there for 40 minutes while calling, knocking on doors/windows and yelling for someone, my family was completely eaten up by mosquitos. My daughter had about 15 on her back from waiting for just 5 minutes-she and the rest of my family then went to wait in the car it was so bad. When someone finally came back to the front desk, I asked for management name and contact info multiple times before I was given anything, but then was just given the number I had been calling for 40 minutes and the front desk email. I know the hotel has a no refund policy. However this environment was entirely unsafe for my family. We were in the room less than 10 minutes and could not stay due to both the mosquitos and mildew in the room. We had no choice but to find another hotel. I have never had a bad experience at a holiday inn express until now. We ended up at the Comfort inn right next door, which was fine. The staff at Comfort Inn seemed to know what we had just been through when we mentioned coming from the Holiday Inn La Porte. Sad.

THE ROOM IT WAS OK
BUT WE CHOSEN THIS HOTEL BECAUSE OF THE BREAKFAST
AND THEY SERVE FULL BREAKFAST JUST ONE TIME AROUND 7:30 SO WHEN WE WENT TO GET OUR BREAKFAST AROUND 8:00 WE CANT FIND NOTHING AND THEY DID NOT SERVE NOTHING AGAIN, LIKE FIVE IR SIX FAMILIES WERE DISAPPOINTED BECAUSE WE HAVE TO DRINK JUST JUICE BECAUSE THE HOT BUFFET CONTAINER WAS EMPTY, AND THEY NEVER REFILL THE HOT BREAKFAST SO THIS IS VERY UNACCEPTABLE BECAUSE THEY SUPPOSEDLY TO SERVE HOT FULL BREAKFAST FROM 7 :00 TO 9:30
SO WE NEVER COMEBACK TO THIS HOTEL

The room assigned to us could use little more cleaning and it had an odor. Breakfast didn't have many options and didn't have an attendant. Every time they ran out of something we had to tell the receptionist who kept running back and forth.

This hotel really needed updating. The shower head looked like it was about 20 years, the carpet was just about as bad. The room lacked attention to detail in its daily cleaning - sheets not fully clean, corners having dirt, etc. Not worth the $170 spent on the room. Manager was very rude and would not listen to honest feedback. Avoid this hotel at all costs!!!!
