We came to have dinner for a birthday and everything was delicious. The setting of the hotel is unbeatable. We had the aguachile, soft shell tacos (which is increíble), and two desserts the firewood banana and the lychee pannacotta. The originality of the chef’s dishes is top notch. The tortillas were made from scratch by Anita. Our server Yovani was super friendly and made us feel special. I would love to come back.

Wow. What a beautiful property. I celebrated my 35th birthday and the staff was absolutely fantastic and efficient at handling logistics from airport pick up, car service into town and making reservations. The hotel experiences were amazing as well. My friends and I loved the sunset beach set up which included a nice bottle of wine. I was quite sad to check-out but grateful that I left this vacation feeling super relaxed.

If you’re considering Paradero Cabo as your next luxury escape, don’t. For the staggering price of $1,100 per night, we expected impeccable service, well-curated experiences, and spacious accommodations befitting a high-end retreat. Instead, we endured disorganization, lackluster service, overpriced mediocrity, and outright negligence. Paradero is a place that prioritizes aesthetics over actual hospitality. Pros: • The landscape is undeniably beautiful, though the grounds aren’t as expansive as the price tag suggests. • The restaurant (which is in the Michelin Guide but not Michelin-starred) had solid food—except for a serious food safety issue that made me sick. • Cesar is the only reason this review isn’t a complete zero. His service was exceptional, and he deserves the one star I’m giving. Cons: 1. Overpriced, Unreliable Transportation – Paradero charges $360 for roundtrip airport transfers, but they didn’t even show up on time. We landed to find no driver and no response for four hours. And as if that weren’t bad enough, they charged us twice. 2. No Food Upon Arrival – After a long, frustrating arrival, we got to the hotel at 11 PM, only to be told there was no food available. This crucial detail was never communicated beforehand, so we had to wait until 7 AM the next morning to eat. 3. Service Collapse – While service started off fine, it completely fell apart by the weekend, likely because of Valentine’s Day crowds. But for a “luxury” hotel, this is inexcusable. 4. Tiny Rooms – For a huge development in the middle of the desert, we were shocked at how small the rooms were. There’s no justification for this when you have unlimited land to work with. 5. Lackluster, Overpriced “Experiences” – The Temezcal was decent but way too expensive. The art walk was laughable—the guide knew almost nothing about the art. I would’ve gotten more insight from a quick Google search. 6. Disorganized Communication – They create an itinerary for you but don’t even follow it themselves. Every experience felt like a logistical mess, and you’re left scrambling for answers. 7. Transportation Scams (Again) – Even beyond the airport debacle, their local transportation was unreliable and outrageously overpriced. If you wanted to go anywhere outside their limited schedule, you had to pay $30 one way. 8. Food Safety Violation – I Got Sick – The restaurant, which is in the Michelin Guide, served pickles on a copper plate. Acidic foods react with copper, making it unsafe to eat—which I found out the hard way when I got sick after the meal. The fact that this happened at a place trying to position itself as a fine dining destination is beyond unacceptable. For the price of a true five-star resort, we were met with poor service, tiny rooms, overpriced experiences, and a blatant disregard for food safety. Paradero is all about the aesthetic, with none of the substance to back it up. Save your money and book literally anywhere else.

to Cabo at least twice a year and stayed in so many high end resorts (Four Seasons, Ritz Carlton, NOBU, The Cape, Esperanza, Viceroy, Le Blanc) and absolutely never experienced what we experienced here. ROOMS: NO HEATERS gets extremely cold at night especially going to the bathroom since the bathroom is not part of the room and u literally have to go outside! Also be prepared that rooms in the back/backyard have NO PRIVACY and UNSAFE…some workers from the field will be walking around and creeping on you. While I was showering I had some man hide in bushes and watch me shower. good luck taking a bath in the tub that is outside because someone will creep on you. ABSOLUTELY NOT okay! I even recorded a video of it. SERVICE: -0/10 We never got greeted at the lobby they just left us hanging the guy barely even spoke English and was talking on the phone. No one showed us around the property they just told us the room number and we had to go find ourselves. RESTAURANT: be prepared to wait for ur food for about an hour and not the fact they will get it right from the first time. this is NOT a 5* hotel or restaurant the only 5* is the price tag. For this price, I’ll rather stay in Four Seasons in Cabo where service is 5* guaranteed. My sister been wanting to come visit this hotel for so long I told her to cancel and not waster her money and time here.

Do as much or as little as you want..choosing to either be active and go for hikes, the biking tour, surf classes or inactive and just more calm going for a breath work session, yoga or mediation. The room was clean and well furnished with the “less is more” vibe. The staff overall is incredibly friendly and are always there to cater to all of your needs. The attention to detail and care was so warm. And the food…wow..you don’t go hungry here! Their roasted chicken is on point and is just an explosion of flavors with the handmade tortilla, aioli, potatoes. All in all, this is a must experience.

I just came back from a fantastic few days at Paradero. The hotel is obviously beautiful but what really stood out were the staff. Everyone we interacted with was extremely friendly, kind and went above and beyond to make our stay comfortable. We did the hike, the beach trip, the cooking class and multiple yoga classes and all the activities exceeded our expectations and activity leaders were all wonderful. It sounds like they have really listened to feedback and many of the issues that people had complained about like no slippers in the rooms (dont know why you would need these anyways), safes (the rooms have them now) and more has been addressed. The restaurant is also wonderful and everything on the menu is delicous. Would definitely recommend Paradero, and hope to come back!
