Just returned from the most relaxing 7 nights at this hotel. A family of 2 teens, 2 middle aged and 2 elderly. Couldn't fault the hotel at all! Beautiful setting, food was good quality, plentiful and varied. Great selection for vegetarians too. The staff couldn't do enough to help us and the waiters/waitresses enjoyed banter too. We spent most days next to the pool. There are 2 pools (1 heated). They are clean and the heated pool has a ramp in to it to make it easier to get in and out. The towel changing hut is open between 8am and 1pm daily. Drinks are served by friendly waiters circulating the pool during the day. There is access to the fabulous beach on either side of the hotel; one side has steps, the other doesn't. A taxi costs approx 8 Euro to get to Corralejo which we found reasonable. We were advised by the rep not to take the bus as it is unreliable. The only 2 dislikes about the destination is the wind. I usually like a good breeze, but I suffer with asthma and the wind must have thrown dust and sand in to the air which made my asthma very bad a night time even with inhalers and I didn't sleep very well. Also, the currents in the sea are very deceptive and dangerous. My dad was dragged in to the rocks (looked like sea****) and panicked because he couldn't put his feet down, and got dragged under the water. Another tourist also had emergency attention with CPR on the beach. The Spanish don't have flags to encourage you to swim between so ask where is safe. It is windy most of the time, making the sea potentially dangerous even though it is stunning. The wind and its effects on my asthma would stop me from coming to the island again sadly which saddens me as it it really was a great destination for all ages.

Lovely quiet holiday, would suit couples, or older generation more than children. Loved everything about it. Staff were friendly and very helpful. Would definately recommend

We have returned today from our holiday at Tres Islas all inclusive Fuerteventura, which we have visited many times before covid. We love the hotel, location and the Staff. I can’t tell you of our extreme upset of what we found when we arrived at lunch time. We went into the dining room to find to our horror, seven birds flying around the room. I have a bird phobia, so I was very upset. One of the guest could see my distress and informed me how disgusted she was, and advised us not to eat anything that wasn’t on the show cook station, when we turned round to leave we saw a bird standing on the rice dish, pecking at the rice. We immediately asked to see the manager/director, who was not available until 5:30 We spoke to the Director Fabrizio Congiu, who informed us that he was aware of the bird problem and they were trying to rectify it by feeding the birds on the roof of the hotel, when I asked about the birds sitting on food he said, “when the waiters see it they take it away”. What happens when the waiters don’t see it when the bird lands on the food? It could also be defecating. As the majority of the clientele are 60+ this could be an extremely dangerous health problem. He offered us to use the krystal restaurant and the snack bar which would be free of charge. The krystal restaurant only has a very limited menu which we had exhausted. We couldn’t go in for breakfast as it was too traumatising for myself so we ate in the snack bar or my partner would get a breakfast for me and I would eat on the very far terrace. The standard of the hotel has deteriorated since our last visit, which is very upsetting. The drinks which were always poured in front of us appeared to be for the half boarders and our drinks came out already poured when we inquired we were told it was because we were all inclusive, which suggest to us that we had an inferior quality of drink. I will enclose pictures of our room to confirm our complaints of the standard of our rooms deterioration. We have used the Rui group many times in Cape Verde, Portugal and Fuerteventura, because of the high standards, but we feel extremely let down, frustrated and cross for the amount of money we paid for an inferior holiday. We had an amazing time at Riu Tres Islas, so much so that we returned there 3 weeks later for another week, we will make this our hotel of choice in the Canaries for many years to come.

Lovely hotel rooms are a bit dated but very clean for is very good but if you are all-inclusive you will get different glasses and not as nice drinks than if you went half board the place were the hotel is amazing right on the beach with amazing views

We have been to many Riu hotels in Europe, Africa and the Caribbean and this hotel is in our top three along with the Nautilus in the Costa Del Sol and the Tequila in Mexico. Although unable to update due to uncertainties the hotel is very clean throughout, lovely location on the national park, all staff very friendly, can always find a good choice at meal times were the tables are cleared very quickly, pool area large, plenty of sunbeds with comfy new mattresses this year. A special thank you to reception who ensured we were allocated the room of our choice on floor 5

Visited the Tres Islas many times over the years and it’s saddening to see the standards and quality of food has drastically gone down hill. The hotel cleanliness can’t be faulted and the staff equally are first class. The Hotel is located in a fantastic location on a beach to rival any in the Caribbean, so great location , great Staff and exceptional cleanliness. Now the negatives Food quality has nose dived and we would rate 2star -3 star made worse by birds !!! Flying around dining room helping themselves to food which is set out for guests why oh why are the management not rectifying the Bird problem we even witnessed a bird stood in pasta helping itself !! The Management have to take the bird situation very seriously or do they not care about guests becoming Sick ? I would not recommend spending the circa £800 per couple going All Inclusive as it’s NOT ALL INCLUSIVE !! You can’t have Irish Coffee you can’t have fresh orange and all drinks for All Inclusive are copies of real thing given to Half Board guests So no Bailey,s just Irish Cream and the list goes on None branded drinks for All Inclusive guests. We are not drinkers and went A.I as it’s easier but £800 for two to be given lower class drinks . We stay in many hotels throughout the year H10 hotels A.I means A.I all branded drinks and treated no differently to Half Board Guests. For the Money paid more is expected and should be provided. Rooms are dated but clean Will we visit again ? Not until the Birds eating and contaminating food is sorted out .

Having read the favourable reviews on Tripadvisor and having stayed at Riu hotels previously I was expecting the Tres Islas to blow us away, but sadly it didn't. On the positive side it is set in a picture postcard setting with fabulous beaches and spectacular views. The staff by and large were very friendly and helpful, particularly Pablo. The food was very good especially the a la carte offering. The bedrooms were large with plenty of clothes hanging/storage space and like the rest of the hotel were spotless. So far so good but now come the negatives. Firstly the hotel is tired looking and desperately needs a makeover. Apart from looking dated, there are tiles missing, flaking paint and faded paintings/prints everywhere. Our patio door was corroded and wouldn't close so we had a whistling noise . The bath was accessed via a fairly narrow gap so was slightly claustrophobic and not ideal for anyone with mobility problems. Although the sales blurb mentions a mini bar that is updated daily, it wasn't. I don't mean wines and spirits, I just mean plain and sparkling water. Likewise the milk, tea and coffee weren't replaced until I left a note in Spanish asking for them and even then I got herbal and mint tea instead of normal breakfast tea. One other negative was the presence of birds in the dining room. They were allowed to fly in and out, peck at food on used plates and at the buffet tables and I saw a bird poop while I was going to get a dessert before deciding against it after a sudden loss of appetite. The final thing that disappointed us and other people we met was that all inclusive (AI) customers are definitely treated as second class citizens. To illustrate the point we asked for a coffee and an amaretto after dinner on two occasions. On the first occasion we ordered at the piano bar and the waiter came with two half filled coffee cups, a jug of warm milk, two glasses and a bottle of Disaronno which he opened in front of us before pouring a measure into each of the two glasses. He then began to present us with a bill before realising we had AI wrist bands on. On the second occasion we ordered, we were presented with the AI version, which comprised two machine made coffees ready milked and two amarettos which clearly weren't Disaronno . I would add here that the general quality of the drinks was questionable, for example Pina coladas part made by a drinks dispenser. I would stress here that we didn't choose AI because we are boozers because we aren't. Instead we chose it because we could budget our holiday better, because it includes lunch and finally because we didn't have to keep signing and retaining documents. Certainly I would have been happy to pay more for a better service / better quality of drink but as it is, unless the Tres Islas addresses the main issues highlighted, we won't be going back.

This was our fourth stay at Tres Isla, I’ve left reviews previously. We booked direct with Riu, checked in online, arrived approximately 11.30am & in our room shortly afterwards. I had requested 5th floor if possible, got 3rd & bottle of bubbly so happy with that We were AI, the two main differences since our last visit were, for security purposes you now get a fob to access the beach gates & when you ask for a Bacardi & Coke, you get Bacardi unlike our last visit when I got an unknown rum so all good there. Just note that if AI & ask for a B&C or G&T for example you get your drink brought to you pre poured, if HB your drink is poured in front of you & your mixer supplied separately, it was no problem we found the strength of the drinks to be good. We found the buffet food good & varied & the staff as usual happy & accommodating so no complaints at all, we enjoyed our stay.
