The good - step out the hotel and you are RIGHT on the square. Restaurants and stores are EASILY walkable. The staff was friendly and available all day. The hotel is secure. The hotel entrance is always locked and you must be buzzed in. It made me wonder what on the outside I would be escaping from, but I never felt threatened. Available taxis are directly across the street. The bad - the rooms are pretty basic. No AC and it gets warm. There was a floor fan to help. It wasn’t perfectly quiet. The key is a physical metal key. Try not to lose it. The if it even matters - breakfast consists of buñuelos. That’s it. But there are multiple restaurants that’s we’ve breakfast within a thirty second walk. Free coffee is available 24/7 but the coffee cups are two ounce cups. Uber’s are not easy to find going out. All in all, if there were a reason to return to Caldas, I would stay here again.
