The hotel is in a wonderful location with amazing views. The hotel messaged us before the stay to provide advice on getting to the hotel, which saved us a more difficult journey on country roads. The dinner was excellent, as was the service.

My wife and I booked a last minute getaway just for the night a couple of days prior to visiting, we booked the romantic package which included accommodation (we upgraded to the Imperial Suite), dinner, champagne and chocolates in the room and breakfast the next day. The room was excellent - with the log burner already roaring on arrival and logs provided to keep it doing so. The bed was huge, the bathroom as big a bathroom as I've ever seen and included a jacuzzi bath surrounded by rose petals and candles, and the suite led out on to a huge terrace with sun loungers and wonderful views down across the valleys to the Malaga coastline. The lay out and general feel of the hotel is very impressive with very high ceilings and a feeling of being in a very grand, historic building. It is not particularly modern and at some stage I'd guess it will need certain elements updating but part of the charm of the place is in the tradition of the beautiful building. We also added one hour private access to the health suite inc pool, sauna, steam room and jacuzzi. This was reasonably priced and very relaxing. Our meal on Saturday included 3 courses and most of the a la carte menu or with the option to pay a small premium - the food and service was all good. The hotel is in a beautiful location (we have hiked in the area before and there are some beautiful walks very close by) and we would recommend the service and experience to anyone looking for a relaxing break.

Superb hotel with breathtaking views, very friendly staff and excellent food. Lovely pool area - just be warned, it takes a cautious drive up the mountain roads with many bends. The drive is worth the end result though. We were only there one night so just had the standard room and it was very spacious.

We found this place absolutely amazing : Very friendly and helpful staff, the room (standard) was very charming, spacious and well equipped, the food, homemade style but refined, is delicious , you wake up to a fantastic breakfast, and all the time you look out onto breathtaking views and grounds. Recommend to ask for a brandy after dinner.

I have just returned from this fabulous hotel. The surrounding area is magnificent so beautiful. Really enjoyed our stay. I came to the area in a view to move to just outside Antequerra. A must to stay here for the peaceful and tranquil hotel.

Having paid a visit to the hotel for a drink, we were unaware that a private wedding was booked. We were made to feel uncomfortable having been asked to move to another terrace even though we had no intention of staying. The manager sent a member of staff out to speak to us twice. We rushed are drink and left. I would suggest that a sign be displayed that a private function was taking place, simple.
