We stayed here for three nights and were told it was the “end of season” and so there was very little staff on hand. This was clear when we attempted to order four cocktails (three of which are on the bar menu) to be told they couldn’t make them and/or didn’t have the ingredients. We ordered a beer by the pool on our one sunny day, to be served a small beer when we’d paid for a large beer. The waiter was going to bring another small beer, but never returned. The rooms are really small, and I don’t know why they’d ever have been built that small when there is plenty of space?! They are rundown and in need of rejuvenation. The bed pillows are square, which is uncomfortable to sleep on, and we had ONE bath robe for a room with two occupants. The towels are small and thin. The room was cleaned regularly but as several other reviews have noted, the safe did not work. The beach at the front of the hotel is lovely to look at from the balcony but is unusable as an actual beach. The pool looked lovely, and clean, but it was too cold to use it. I wouldn’t return.

Good: - just the location Bad: - the wall box for electric cars is out of service - the restaurant is closed 2 days in the week so you need to find a solution by yourself - there is no room service - our room phone was also out of service - in the week we spend there no one came to clean our room for 2 days - the safe in the room was out of service so we needed to ask the keys in the reception - one morning we saw a mouse running between the tables during the breakfast - the restaurant menu is very limited and expensive for the options proposed - we rent bikes from the hotel with a baby-seat to visit the island and the baby-seat fall down in the middle of the street with my 3 years daughter on it. I walked 3km under the mid-day sun with my daughter in the arms to get back to the hotel. After that we definitely decided to quit the hotel even with one more day reserved. From my point of view if you can’t provide quality service just close the doors and fix the problems first. It’s unacceptable a 4* hotel with all this problems in less than a week. So far my worst experience. It’s sad that our only summer vacation of the year was such a nightmare.

Looked for hotels to stop over for the night on our travels around France and came across this one on *********** under Noirmoutier and what a great find and location, as from the madding crowd. As soon as you walk in to reception, you are nicely welcomed and have the feeling it is a nice place, the rooms you stay in are really nicely laid out and all have some form of sea view (be it, ground or upper levels) and are well serviced, with safe and amenities you would naturally expect from this level of hotel. The pool and lazy river were a nice touch and given it was merely a walk over some steps to the sea, a superb location. We dined here for my wife's birthday that evening and it didn't disappoint as the meal was exceptional as was the wine we had (but not off the wine list as we asked the lovely gentlemen who served us if they had any other wines and he duly obliged, but be prepared, at a cost !) Breakfast was nice and overall, I would have quite happily stayed here for at least a couple of nights, but the photos on line, don't always do places justice, but what a great find and an out-of-the-way location, making it all the more enjoyable.

Hotel is at an amazing location, with great view to the sea. Beach is wonderful for treasure hunting and collecting sea shells during the low tide. There are fantastic walking and running paths from the hotel. All the rooms have a beautiful view to the sea and the beach is very private. I could just sit in the balcony and listen to the waves forever. Breakfast is very well worth it’s price. Only regret I have is that we didn’t stay for longer! While we stayed it was historically one of the hottest days ever, over +40c (+104 F) and it would have been nice to have AC or a fan at least. We kept the balcony door open during the night to let the sea breaze in. But I do understand these were some exceptional circumstances. And what comes to Noirmontier island itself… Part of my heart is now forever there! I almost cried when we checked out and had to leave! I truly truly hope to be back someday.

The location is great but the hôtel needs a full refurbishment ; everything looks old and used. Our room was very small, poor wifi, safe box not working, bathroom door not working, 2 single beds rather than 1 and we stayed just one night. I have problems to understand how it could be a 4 stars

La chambre vue mer était très romantique et bien équipée. Balcon parfait pour admirer le coucher de soleil. Le dîner servi au restaurant était délicieux. Pour information la piscine n’était plus chauffée lors de notre we. Nous avons passé un excellent séjour.

Pas du tout dans la catégorie des 4 étoiles, ni pour la chambre ni pour le petit déjeuner; La chambre, hyper basique, de type village de vacance est vendue pour 24 m², mais en fait la chambre elle-même fait 12.35m²; il faut ajouter, le couloir (2.16m²), le wc (0.8m²...), la salle de bain (3.8 m² dont une douche de 0.7m de large (impossible de se doucher sans se taper les coudes)) et le balcon pour arriver aux 24m² vendus; La salle de bain ne ressemble pas du tout à celle d'un 4 *: pas de poubelle, pas le moindre coton tige, pas de bonnet de douche, une simple toute petite savonnette pour 2 pour 1 semaine en dehors du distributeur de savon qui est dans la douche; pas de cafetière, mais une simple bouilloire avec des sachets de café lyophilisé; il a fallu réclamer pour que les tasses soient lavées; l'étiquette 'ne pas déranger' sur la porte n'est pas respectée... la télé ne fonctionne pas correctement; l'affichette de sécurité indique de ne pas prendre l'ascenseur alors qu'il n'y en a pas et d'appeler le personnel d'étage en cas de problème, mais pas non plus de personnel d'étage.. rien n'est adapté. Les seuls points positifs sont l'emplacement réellement bien et la piscine pour ceux qui l'utilisent. Nous n'avons pas testé le restaurant, mais le petit déjeuner est lui aussi basique; l'hôtel devrait s'inspirer des petits déjeuners servis dans les vrais 4 étoiles dans des sites équivalents (Ile de Ré, Oléron) où on trouve des huitres, du champagne, des œufs au plat et où les couverts sont propres et disponibles (à Punta Lara, pas de couverts en libre service, une seule petite cuillère pour tout (thé, œuf, confiture, fruit...) Bref, un prix exorbitant pour une qualité médiocre.

Super mooi en fijn verblijf. Kamers waren ruim en net vernieuwd. Heerlijk schoon en van alle gemakken voorzien. We hadden een kamer met terras en uitzicht op zee, aan te raden. Het restaurant personeel kan helaas nog wel een verbeterslag maken.
