Hôtel du Baou Reviews

I recommend for only one night, it isn't a 3 star hotel but similar to a 2 star. Suggestion: the door needs fixing.🙂

Staff at front desk very welcoming and helpful. Kind people. However the hotel is clearly worn out and unfortunately the cleaning with strict minimum. Bed sheets with body hair and head hair all over the place, long head hair left into the bathtub and sink… hair dryer broken (might even be a fire hazard). The ceiling of the bathroom was rotten. When an hotel is that old, the owners should emphasize on amenities and cleanliness, instead of just sucking up every single profits out of it.

A very good stay experience. The hotel is at the foot of Baou Mountain and the air is fresh. There is a large supermarket a few hundred meters down from the hotel with a full range of items. There is also a bus station called La Gaude IBM. You can go up to the town of Saint Jeannet, where you can climb the mountain. It is a little over 800 meters away. There are no paved roads on the road, which are all gravel roads. When you go down to the nice center, you can visit CAP 3000. There is a big shopping mall, and you can also drive to the old town and see the sea ^_^

The environment is very good

The service attitude is good, the hotel is on the mountain, the environment is elegant and the air is fresh.

Unfortunately nothing has changed from the previous reviews. We stayed for 1 night for the RWC. Staff were pleasant and thoughtful but the room. The side lights didn't work, the bathroom was 'surface' clean but mould on the shower head and around the edge of the bath, the bathroom door was damaged.

Geat restaurant close by. Quiet area. Room was very small. We stayed 2 nights, bed was not made.

Nice view over the mountains. Would only recommend if you come by car

The hotel is located in a largely residential neighbourhood in the hills above the Var. It is quiet, clean and serves an excellent buffet breakfast. Reception was quick, friendly and efficient. Rooms are good, with a small balcony. Bed was comfortable. Bathrooms are a bit dates and be refreshed. There is a very good restaurant 1 minute walk away.

Quite a long drive uphill, but nice place with a view of the Nice valley from the 3 floor balcony. Small bathroom, and simple furniture.

Located in the middle of nowhere, with 2 close by restaurants. But high up, so was able to see the Bastille Day fireworks. Nice staff and air con was much needed.
