We had the misfortune to stay in this well overpriced (for what you get even if it may not be due to its situation) would be beach side bed and breakfast masquerading as an “appart” and “hotel” - both words used in its title. We booked the best that was available and it was not an apartment despite the sign at the top of the stairs saying it was!! I know it is nearly the end of the season but it is poorly maintained throughout and our room had high pointed beamed ceiling into which a bathroom and toilet have been stuck - badly! The “breakfast area” is by the reception desk and is like a dark hole where, am sure, and enjoyable breakfast could be had but we opted out - found a table overlooking the harbour in St Martin de Re for an excellent continental at 9 Euro for two!! The only furniture present in our was an old chest of drawers, two side tables rescued from a junk yard and, like the bed head, all painted to look “distressed”, an IKEA hanging rail, the bed and a chair straight out of a 1960’s movie! Not even a fridge never mind kitchen that you would expect apartments to have. The only electric plugs are one each side of the beds (used by side lights), one behind the tv “cabinet” and TWO BEHIND where the clothes are hung up but with no shelves to put anything on while using them. I have uploaded photographs but please look at the bathroom - cracks between the bath and wall, only soap available behind one’s head, if you do have a bath, you need both hands to extract the soap as it is loose on the wall, a shower that will not stay up so has to be used as hand held and, finally, pray someone will help you if you are of advanced years looking for something to steady yourself getting in and out of the bath/shower! Get rid of it and install a proper shower would be my suggestion! The floor is wooden and can only imagine how that feels downstairs with a lady walking around in high heels in the room above you!! Next, the lighting - where exactly is a lady supposed to do her makeup as one can’t in this bathroom as the lighting is dreadful! Hardly in front of the only other mirror opposite the hanging wardrobe - where one would have to continually walk in and out of the bathroom having the only shelf in the room and the lighting is not that much better. The area around the plunge pool is ok but the sofa there is very uncomfortable and there is nowhere really other than that and a few tables and chairs to sit out - which is a problem if you would like a siesta as the room was not cleaned until after 15.00!! The parking is excellent behind a coded door so you can go in and out at leisure and I would expect parking to be a premium in the area during high season! All this MAYBE be palatable to some if it were to cost 50 Euro a night but it is a whopping €135 per night and they will be pleased to know that, not even its location next to some superb restaurants (and what looks like a summer fun fair next door!!), will ever be enough to
