Motel Hibiscus

Very nice surprise for a typical motel on the busy street. Recently renovated, nice clean room and great shower. The only con is the noise but did not bother us, maybe we were too tired after a full day visiting Momtmercy Falls and Canyon Saint Anne.

Would recommend this for family and friends' gatherings. The staff is extremely helpful. The restaurant serves breakfast and dinner, of high quality. For lunch the Starbucks seems to be run by the same staff and features full meals and fine sandwiches among other things. The pool is heated, and the outdoor, large hot pools are excellent. You can do snow angels then jump back in the pools with jets. There is a good exercise room and a game room with ping pong, fuzbol and other tables and a small romper bouncy house. Dozens of other dining alternatives just out the front entrance and a short drive.

We stayed at this Choice hotels in early Aug and very disappointed with stay. Luckily I stayed only one night and time passed by very fast. Good: It is located on bank of St. Lawrence river and clear view of water however lots of ****/grass before you can reach the water though. Bad: Hotel and rooms seem outdated and need very good renovation. Drive luggage trolley from parking to elevator is kind of challenging. Although it says, suits with 2 queen room, actually there is one very small room with one Queen bed but the other queen bed is wall bed which need to pull down at sleeping time. There is no sofa in the room but just one or two chairs. Although it is equipped with kitchen, it is outdated. Freeze in our room was leaking water and not working properly. Window curtain was falling and that was giving way to light in night time which made us difficult to sleep in night time. Light in bathroom was working hit and miss. Big complain: AC is right beside fold down bed and very very noisy. Also when it turns on and off (yes when turning off), making very much noise and that made me difficult to sleep although I was tired of travelling from Toronto to Quebec city. Unless you have reason to stay in that town, it is way far from Quebec city and take long time to reach there. Hwy 138 is kind of scenic but many traffic light to reach to this hotel. Breakfast was below average and nothing special to say. Although front desk lady allow us to take waffle in room due to young kids, it was kind of offense to take food out of BF area. I reported issues of freeze, curtain and bathroom lights upon check in but nothing was fixed when we returned from city, late in the night. Definitely, I will not go to this location again.
Auberge & Campagne

Excellent rapport qualité-prix.
