The room was clean, comfortable and peaceful with a beautiful balcony (well worth choosing a room with a balcony) Two beaches are just around the corner, a shingle beach and a huge sandy beach. Lots of cafes and restaurants close by too. The staff are helpful and welcoming.

This is a family run hotel and deserves support. It is unpretentious and the value for money is there. The rooms are clean, the welcome is fine, the spa is simple but good sauna and jacuzzis. Breakfast could be more imaginative or authentic but it was quite acceptable. So without being an exceptional experience we were happy with our stay.

Small hotel in little seaside town of La Ciotat. Rooms very small with little balconies overlooking the hotel drive . Breakfast buffet was ok . Restaurant attached to hotel closed and swimming pool inside covered area was like a sauna . The staff were lovely , friendly and helpful . A short walk to the start of the beach walk into the town which was 30 mins away with delightful restaurants and shops .

Very good value for money, location, close to good restaurants, with the bonus of a private beach. Breakfast very good selection of both cooks and cold food. We did not get the chance to try the restaurant as it was closed for holidays whilst we were there.

We stayed for two weeks at the Hotel Plage St Jean and from the moment we arrived ALL the staff were very friendly and welcoming. Nothing was too much trouble and even when we lost something the staff were so helpful and one member of the team went out of his way to find it for us, for which we are very grateful. (I won't name him in case he doesn't want me to, but he knows who he is so Thanks again!) Our poor French language skills were tolerated remarkably. The hotel and rooms were clean and comfortable and there was a fantastic choice for breakfast which was also great value for money. The only minor issue (Which didn't spoil it at all, but is worth a mention) is that the wardrobe hanging space was not long enough for shirts meaning that dresses had to be hung from the bathroom door pegs in the Traditional room we were in. The location was great and there is a good sized car park, but also a bus route (#40) goes right past the hotel and the bus stops are only yards from the hotel entrance in both directions. A wonderful hotel in a wonderful town, we loved them both! We won't name check any individual member of staff because they were all really great and made our stay really special! Très bel hôtel et spa, facile à trouver et grand parking. Personnel très accueillant. Seul bémol, le sauna qui ne fonctionnait pas.

Ce fût notre deuxième visite de ce lieu qui n'est qu'à un heure de route de chez nous pour nous ressourcer. Chambre propre, personnel souriant et prévenant, petit déjeuner copieux. Venu juste avant les fêtes, le spa était quasiment à nous. Les deux jaccusis extérieurs chauffés sont un must, même en décembre. Il y en a un à l'intérieur, aussi.
