Hotel la Perdiz

Ein sehr schönes gediegenes Hotel. Nicht 08/15 sondern schon ein Erlebnis. Der Empfang ist sehr freundlich und war auf unser Einchecken wie gebucht vorbereitet. Das Essen im Restaurant war sehr gut, die Speisekarte auf Spanisch und Englisch. Nur auf das Frühstück hätten wir verzichten können. Wer deutsches oder internationales Frühstück erwartet wird hier enttäuscht. Die Karte war zwar ebenfalls auf Spanisch und Englisch, der Service sprach aber nur Spanisch. Dies führte bei anderen Gästen zu Missverständnissen und falschem Frühstück. Bei uns dauerte es sehr lange bis das Frühstück serviert wurde und man vergaß den angekündigten Kaffee.

Today, September 15, 2024, we went to the La Perdiz Restaurant, already known to us; we went without a reservation, but early, hoping to find a table, inside or outside, on the terrace (a splendid day). Once there, we found out that there was an event, a wedding I think, but for that case they have another specific venue so we didn't worry. Once inside, we asked for a table and a waiter told us that today, Sunday, September 15, the Restaurant was NOT open! Ugh! What a shame! We were looking forward to it. Anyway, we stayed in the bar and what can I say? It has a very limited menu (salad, toasts, sandwiches, etc.) because that's what it is, a bar. The thing is that while we were having a resigned drink, we found out that they opened the restaurant in front of us and in a while there would be 3 tables with diners and the rest empty; When we asked the waiter again, he told us that he had been ordered to open at that time (2:40 p.m.), which is unheard of and even more incredible. In short, I find the management of the restaurant disappointing and it is a shame. It has a nice and pleasant location, where we have been many times, but in view of how it works now, we will not go there again.

Perfect hotel for a break from a long journey, easy parking and the pools for a dip and relaxing after hours of travelling were perfect. Breakfast the next day was fine and they made hot food straight away. As it was Sunday the restaurant was closed and there was not much room for those of us who had come on a trip and wanted to have dinner in the bar. They had to open some tables in the dining room so people could have something to eat, but seeing that the queue was long in the end we went to the village for dinner for ten minutes on foot and it was a great success.
