Staying at La Maison is both stimulating and utterly relaxing. The proprietors - Frederic and Marie-Claude - welcome you to their world of art and travel, in an exquisite small hotel that combines quiet luxury with a unique design sensibility. The name of the gallery that forms part of the the hotel - "Retour de Voyage" says it all. The photographic books, artworks and objets from around the world gives the vibe of a treasured house whose owners have brought home their favorite finds from around the world. There were many pleasures of our stay - the comfortable spacious bedroom decorated with intricately woven bowls and large format photos from Africa; eating a delicious breakfast on the shady terrace; chatting with our hosts about their last trip and their next trip and - closer to home - getting top tips about where to go in the beautiful L'Ile de la Sorgue.. Big thanks to Frederic and Marie for their fabulous hospitality. After this wonderful few days, we will certainly be back!

Absolute heaven Stayed here August 2025 with a friend for three nights. The warmest of hosts, Frederic and Marie-Claude. Beautiful very large room and bathroom. The hotel is exquisitely furnished and the curated art collection of mostly Asian art is a delight. Can’t believe it is right in the heart of the town and yet totally peaceful. It really was a sanctuary.

This place is magical. Frederic is a delight. Yes, it is more like a B&B than a hotel chain, but that is its charm. The location is perfect. The rooms are unique, romantic and done to perfection. Breakfast in the courtyard was a treat. The artwork, from the 17th century entrance door to the courtyard to the bedrooms, is alone worth the visit. When we could not find our restaurant, Frederic walked us to it. Very special.

We had a 4 nights stay in this unique hotel. It was a special experience. Everything was different from a regular hotel. First, the owner Frederick, was so warm and caring, and helped us in every way. The place surrounds you with art, and originally decor. Breakfast is creative as well, but Frederick is very attentive to one's wishes. If you are getting there with a car, Frederick will help you with his own parking.

La Maison is such a beautiful, eclectic establishment, and our host was so kind and gracious. The ambiance was relaxing in subtle ways. The surrounding area was lively and fun.

Absolutely 5 star experience! A must visit and stay! The owner is lovely and goes out of his way to make you the most welcome, helpful for hiding you around and this spot is in the heart of the most charming part! Breakfast was amazing but the atmosphere is something you just can’t duplicate and they are the most gracious hosts!

I cannot say enough about this gem of a hotel and Frédéric, where we had a lovely stay in L’Isle Sur la Sorgue. We felt so taken care of the whole time! From the glasses of delicious rosé to the exquisite breakfast to a pot of chamomile tea waiting for us when we returned from a dinner in Gordes. It felt like a little guest house with a sophisticated air. Frédéric even jumped into our car when we arrived to help us navigate to the hotel, then parked our car for us too! The location is perfect! We walked out our door directly into the Sunday market, and everything else is walking distance including the famous antique fair. You’re so close to everything that you might have to close the windows at night due to revealers at the wine bar down the street, but the sound is immediately blocked and I assure you you will have an excellent sleep here. The decor is beautiful and interesting, collected by the owners in large part from their travels in Asia. There are also lots of beautiful items you can purchase in their shop and have shipped home to you. If you’re looking for something unique I would recommend La Maison very highly. You will be so well taken care of!

This was a unique experience - the hotel itself (17th century mention), the decor and atmosphere and most importanlty sevice and attention by Frederic (who was fantastic). We stayed for 5 days and enjoyed every bit of it. It was almost like visitng your French ancle !!
