AC Hotel Valencia

Valencia|0.71km from Oceanogràfic València
Our flight landed at 0035am, so we needed to get a taxi from the Airport to the hotel, which took about 25-30 minutes and cost €33. We hailed a taxi outside the hotel at 8am to get from the Hotel to the Airport at the end of the trip, but it only cost €21. Check in was very easy. The room was of a very good standard, with a great bathroom, comfy bed, plenty of wardrobe space and a decent tv. There was a minibar fridge. Whilst we didn’t consume anything, we used the fridge to refrigerator food items such as cheese and salami. There is a German chain supermarket beginning with ‘L’ 10 minutes walk away and a supermarket in the nearby shopping centre which is in the direction of the ‘Ciudad de las Artes y las Ciencias’. The location of the hotel is excellent, with a brilliant bus 19 service: The bus stop literally outside the hotel is called Menorca Franca, and goes to the city centre and takes about 15 minutes. Their is a stop outside the main train station ‘Estació del Nord’ in the city centre but just to the left a bit (left if you are looking out from the station) where the bus to go back from the city centre to the hotel starts (they usually have their hazard lights on indicating they are at the starting stop). The bus stop opposite the hotel on the other side of the road is called Menorca Balears and takes you to the beach. A bus back to the hotel from the beach area can be found on street ‘Carrer De La Reina’. Just remember if you walk outside the hotel past the hotel reception - the bus right goes to the city centre, the bus left goes to the beach. All bus single tickets cost €1.50 and drivers gave me change from €5 notes. Tips for eating: there is a brilliant pizza restaurant near the hotel ‘Regina Di Napoli’. There is also a very good restaurant that offered a set menu starter + paella + small desert + beer or soft drink for €16.50 ‘El Generalife’ on Carrer De Navellos’. Would stay at this hotel again.

Ibis Budget Valencia Alcasser

Avoid this hotel. Air conditioning was not working at the rooms in July, during the very hot Spanish summer in Valencia. This is unnaceptable. I had to open the windows in order to be able to sleep as the room was unbearably hot. Hotel staff simply told me that the air conditioning was working as it should. Besides, there were full trash containers at the parking lot. Dirty hotel with suspicious location at a very isolated and almost abandoned industrial state.Absolutely do not recommend this hotel for anyone.

This hotel did a very good job for us, staff were superb, & I can give high praise to the excellent Reception team, who were extremely helpful & efficient both during & prior to our stay, and to the restaurant staff whose service was always speedy & with a smile. The location isn’t necessarily ideal if you’re here to discover Valencia, it’s a bit of a schlep to the centre, but for our purpose, competing in an event at the Kartodromo Internacional Lucas Guerrero, it’s pretty well placed. The location is handy but unlovely, close to a large shopping centre & other out of town leisure units. Restaurants around & about are unthrilling, but luckily the food in the hotel restaurant was mainly good, though it’s rather brightly lit & wasn’t big on atmosphere during our early February visit. Accommodation is basic, but we found rooms quiet, beds comfy & the shower powerful. Good, generous provision of simple toiletries & products including toothbrush & comb. Our room, the Junior Suite, composed of 2 double bedrooms & a bathroom with bath/shower, was quite spacious & worked well for us. I can’t attest to the qualities of the standard rooms. All in all, decent, functional accommodation at value … blessed with outstanding staff.

The breakfast is generous, and the room is large and can accommodate an extra bed. The location is convenient, there is an Auchan supermarket in the big commercial center within a five-minute walk. Ten minutes drive from the airport, the hotel staff is not good at English but enthusiastic ❤️

Stayed one night at this hotel as a stopover. Although in a shopping commercial area it was very nice and quiet and the rooms were good apart from the air conditioning which didn’t cool the room. Staff were polite and friendly, on site secure parking and breakfast was nice and plentiful. Overall a pleasant stay I would recommend as good road access to southern and northern Spain. ...spending 3 days here. Very satisfied with my room and bed, except I wish there would have been a refrigerator. Location is fabulous in my opinion with it being right next to the mall; I could walk there every day there and have a great variety of restaurants to choose from. I enjoyed breakfast very much and thought there was enough of a variety of items - no hot dishes to speak of though. Only saw bacon on my last morning which I enjoyed very much - too much. Staff is awesome, especially Andrea and Marta at Reception. OMG, I got a parking ticket in Valencia, and Andrea helped me research where to go and how to pay it off and whatnot. This was a big help to me, and I'm deeply grateful for her assistance. I think the price I paid was well worth particularly when you consider the parking is free. You really can't go wrong with Holiday Inn, can you?
