As a previous hotel manager for a 4 star apartment hotel/apartment myself I will be completely honest and realistic with my review. Apartment - When you first step in you instantly think ” oh nice” but as soon as i took my shoes off and walked around my socks went from white to brown. Floors were filthy, Not only did they not mop the floors but they didn't even bother sweeping it. I even found crisps and hair on the floor. But as i was in holiday spirit I cleaned it myself and moved on. When it was time for a shower I noticed my towel had weird yellow stains on it, i then found that all the other towels were also horribly covered in stains with i dread to know what. Then the bed sheets! Bed sheets had stains. All 3 of them. At this point the receptionist pretended to act shocked and gave us another apartment. When we went into the other apartment it smelt awful, like sewage. Receptionist then gave us fresh towels and sheets but again, it was dirty. In the end, we just stuck to our normal apartment and washed all the bed sheets and towels ourselves which we had to pay. It came out sparking clean with no Stains!!. You will also need to clean up the apartment yourself and wash your own dishes before leaving, they give you a small pack of cleaning products to use. This won't last you if you are regularly cooking or using dishes frequently. You also have to provide yourself with toilet rolls and bin bags which i found strange. Everything needed to cook was there which was great. Internet - Was perfect, no issues. Aircon - only 1 in living room, another needs to be put in bedrooms to be honest. The fan for the ac was outside the balcony on the floor which leaked and blew cold and hot air at you while your sitting down. Noise levels - if you have neighbor's next to you or downstairs or even outside from the balcony you will definitely hear everything, this was fine for me personally but if you are a light sleeper then probably not. Swimming pool - playa 3 had a small pool, the water tasted extremely strange, almost like chemical salt. I couldn't swim in it. Other pools were great. They close all pools 7pm which is inconvenient as it would be a nice place to sit and socialise. Dogs - As much as i love them and the idea you welcome them to stay in the apartments, i spent my holiday hopping and dodging poop on the floors outside the building and around the area. Reception Manager should really implement fines for people not picking it up. Surrounding areas - Supermarkets were really close by, and tobacco shops. Cash machines were very close as well. There was a place around the corner to go bowling which was lovely as it had a bar and game room. There was also 2 bars with lively music and great choice of alcohol. Bars closed around 3.30am. Bowling around 1am. Beach - was so lovely, so close to the apartments, if you want to sit on a beach chair it will be 5 euros. They had a bar and cafe directly on the beach with incredible food. A decent hotel with decent food and decent staff. But I give a low score for ONE REASON: There was a large group of special needs people using the hotel. From my experience working with autistic adults, there is no way these individuals should be sharing busy spaces - sometimes unattended - with young children. Their support workers were not good enough and these guests were walking alone around the restaurant - grabbing utensils and food from small children. At times the restaurant was like a farmyard - loud snorting and braying sounds. Guests constantly on edge, especially with their children. There are special hotels for these individuals and unfortunately they ruined the atmosphere and relaxation for a lot of guests. At one point one of the special needs adults tried to get into the lift with my children, who already had to leave the restaurant because of the sound of another one of them vomiting on his table. That nothing was done about this for the 7 days I was there is not acceptable. There were other security problems around the hotel but most importantly, they should not be accepting these large groups because it disrupts the enjoyment of guests.

Really perfect place to stay for us as divers. We were a party of 10 and couldn’t wish for a better place to stay. Gloria was so helpful when a few wanted to change room preferring to upgrade to a pool view or to a room with 2 bedrooms. The facilities for divers was superb and our kit was collected and returned back each day to our hotel. We walked in our wetsuits the short walk to the harbour to pick up the boat. The hotel has a good working lift to the 4 floors. Hotel pool was so clean and refreshing and a relaxing area to sunbathe, it does appear that everything was winding down though for the end of the season ( end of Sept) including pool bar, many restaurants locally and shops. So we were pleased we stayed in Sept and didn’t wait until October! We ate as a group in the restaurant and our meal was the best we had all week! The bar does some amazing cocktails ….. ask for the Santa Anna cocktail it’s 🥰 lush. Thoroughly recommend this hotel.

What a great Hotel !! Just returned from ten days (booked with Jet2) staying at the Medes II - the staff were all friendly and very professional. Our room was perfect, bedding changed every other day, towels on request and cleaned every day to a very high standard. The bathroom was an adequate size with a bath with shower over; we had a sea / mountain view (as do all rooms at the front), good size balcony, bit of road noise but if you close the shutters / sliding door and put the AC on overnight you don't hear anything. The restaurant was spotless and the food was of a very high quality with plenty of choice. The bar area was clean with plenty of tables, also a pool table, and local guide books on hand. Plenty of parking out the back with electric car charging, pool / patio area was a little on the small size but adequate and suits the size of the Hotel. This is a family run hotel and you can certainly tell, we will definitely be returning in the future.
