A very cute hotel, and the location is top if you want to walk around Gion, Sannenzaka and other areas on that side of the river.
The staff are very friendly and helpful, and they speak English too. And they write a welcome card for you, how cute is that❤️
Definitely staying again, when I’m back to Kyoto!

I also appreciated the traditional Japanese breakfast, which was delicious and beautifully presented. Location was perfect for exploring Gion, Ninenzaka, Yasaka Pagoda and Kiyomizu-dera. I stayed 2 nights. Room was clean but small. Still it was adequate for me with 3 cabin size luggages. Those with larger luggages may find it tight. Car park was limited and charged at 2000¥ a day. Continental breakfast was free. Coffee and tea machine was provided in the room too. Would stay again.

Great location for seeing the classic Gion geisha streets. Comfortable and more than acceptable for the low price. The complimentary breakfast is just rolls and instant coffee, but I didn't come for the breakfast, so that's fine. I'd come back.

Nothing to complain about. Clean hotel, comfy beds, good amenities, superb service, free small breakfast.
The location is perfect, 15 min by foot to the town center, 10 min to the beautiful touristy streets of Kyoto. Very good value for money.

Very friendly hotel staffs who even came out to help with the luggage when we arrived. The room is more spacious than the norm in Japan. The address is a bit difficult to find as there is “The Second” behind. It’s better to just give taxi driver the address and not the hotel’s name. There is no in-house laundry machine. That’s why it’s missing one star.
The location is within walking distance to Kiyomizudera (about 15 minutes).
There are convenience stores nearby: 7eleven, family mart and Lawson.
The amenities in the room are great. Love the coffee machine, especially the roasted coffee. The roasted green tea is also amazing.

Very friendly staff, great service and location with good price. Loads of free amenities available at the lobby as well, and shampoo, conditioner and body soap is provided in pump bottles in the bathroom. Very clean and comfy room, the air conditioner has a heated option so our stay during winter was lovely and warm. 1 min walk from Higashiyama Yasui Bus Stop, and a few minutes away from Daigoji Shrine. Super convenient. Allowed us to check into our room early even though we arrived 1-2 hours before the actual check in time. Cute handwritten welcome card is provided along with 2 water bottles. Will definitely come back again if we return to Kyoto.
