HOTEL TAVINOS Kyoto

Very good location. The bus stop just by the hotel. The staffs very friendly and helpful. But the rooms too dark, and very noisy when the cars pass by at night.

The location is excellent, with all the main attractions within a 15–20 minute walk. Regarding the hotel itself, the room was not very comfortable for a longer stay. The blanket shown in the photos seemed not very clean, and it was only covered with a thin sheet. Fortunately, I had two sheets and was able to wrap the blanket for extra comfort. The raised platform where the mattresses are placed is also a bit inconvenient to climb onto. Overall, this place is more suitable for a short stay of one or two nights rather than an extended visit. The staff do make an effort to keep things clean, though cleanliness varies from one area to another.

I have to say this is hotel is totally not for family because it's extremely small to the point u have to crawl everytime bc all the electricity point is in the bedside. So good luck trying to do anything. It's okay maybe it there are only 2 people bc the facility are complete, the luggage storage is easy there's free coffee tea and even bread in the morning. U can ask for hair straightener it's really nice

It looks good at first glance, but once we lay down, it really doesn’t feel right — it feels dirty. Both of us felt itchy after sleeping. However, overall it’s okay — it’s very close to the station and tourist spots.

I love how this hotel has personality and that it’s well designed. People said that the room is small, but as a solo traveller, it is a great size! There is free pastries for breakfast, free amenities and a great locker to store luggages when you don’t need it. Check in and check out was good, you get to pick your room at check in as well. You’ll have fun at this hotel, it’s near the bus station and a train station. It’s close to the famous Inari Shrine, Ninenzaka and between Kyoto Station and the main shopping district. It’s also right by the 7/11

Didn't expect my room has window but without view as it has a frosted window film, probably for privacy purposes, as the room facing relatively close to the adjacent building. As the room is being painted with dark theme colour, it does make the room very dim most of the time even with the lights on. It's definitely very bad lighting to do my makeup. The room has a mini fridge but offer no kettle, drinking cups or free water. There is water station at the lounge area but you will need to bring your own bottle to refill water. Overall, it's not far away from the points of interests with great assess to transport. It is walkable to Kiyomizu-dera temple and Gion area. Amenities wise, it offer luggage storage, laundry and self-service station for some tea and coffee. It provides free pastries in the morning. It has a 7-eleven connected at the ground floor of the hotel so was handy to get quick snacks, withdrawn cash etc. The hotel does not offer luggage forwarding service, I had to walk 10 minutes to Yamato delivery service to ship my luggage. If you are on budget for a hotel in Kyoto, this place would be a good choice. But I don't think I will return.
