Good quality and low price.
The boss is very nice, completely different from what my friends said about Kyoto people being very arrogant.
Very close to Arashiyama, highly recommended.

It's super good. It has a private shower and a washing machine with drying function. Although it's a bit far, the bus stop is right at the door, which is very cost-effective.

Absolute class act. One of the best hotels I have stayed at, especially for the price point. Room came with a bidet and an in-suite shower. Absolute godsend for my needs and was close to a convenience store, laundromat, and other businesses. Train station was less than a 5 minute walk. Amenities were perfect and covered every possible need. Safe to say this is the best hotel in Kyoto.

Easy to reach any transportation (bus, Randen, and JR), which let me go any famous place to hang out and go sightseeing.
The place was quiet, clean and tidy.

This was a long journey with many accommodations. Because daytime activity options cost money, I chose accommodations where I could safely rest and get the best possible rest, at the lowest possible price. Samurai House was perfect for my needs. It was just a short walk from Koryuji Temple, so I was able to take as much time as I wanted to see the Buddha statues I had been longing for. I was able to take my time in the evenings and mornings and get some rest. The staff responded immediately when I called, and my travel skills improved a little. I thought I would be able to communicate with other guests in the common areas, but since summer vacation was over, I wasn't able to do so this time.
