Highly recommended !! Services are impeccable, breakfast and dinner were so yummy , as there are only 7 rooms , there is no crowding but peace and relaxation. And every single corner is exquisite! I will definitely stay in the hotel again !

A great Japanese-style B&B. The price is not cheap. It is the kind of Japanese-style accommodation I want. This time I booked two meals. The dinner was really average, but the breakfast was OK. If you have high requirements for food, you can just book the room. The service is very good. Staying for one night is a bit short. It should be 2 nights.

What a stunning Ryokan this is! The dinner was amazing and I would recommend going for the steak option if you are offered. It was melt in your mouth. The garden in the centre is really beautiful! Would recommend a nice peacefully stay for Kyoto.

Spent one unforgettable night here at Kyokoyado Muromachi Yutone. This beautiful little hotel is in the middle of Kyoto and gives such a relaxing vibe, from the tea room, to the zen garden, to the in suite onsen. I wish we had more time here to fully immerse ourselves. The room was relatively spacious with a comfortable bed and pillows. The AC unit and WiFi worked very well. There were a ton of amenities including all the toiletries you would need, snacks, drinks, slippers, bathrobes, kimonos and more. The kaiseki breakfast in the morning was amazing with so many flavors across the deferent dishes. The staff was very pleasant and helpful throughout our stay. Our one night stay felt way too short in this wonderful accommodation. I would highly recommend this place if it fits into your budget.

Wonderful experience at Kyokoyado Muromachi Yutone in Kyoto. A small slice of heaven in the middle of the big city. The setting is very peaceful and the amenities are amazing. We felt very welcomed and relaxed, which is just what we needed. The in suite onsen was the highlight of the room, as there is a large wooden bath tub that fit both my husband and I. There are lots of treats, drinks and goodies provided and there are even more offered in the tea room. You can even mix your own matcha in the tea room! Breakfast in the morning was kaiseki style and had so many different wonderful flavors spread throughout the dishes. I wish we had more time to stay here, but we will have to come back next time we are in Kyoto. Overall this place was nothing short of amazing, I would highly recommend if it fits into your budget.

I had an amazing experience here. I wish I could give it six stars. So when you first walk in the service is amazing you takeoff your shoes and they actually wash your-bag for you which is like amazing next everyone is super nice. They all speak English and they give you this tour around, which is awesome. There is this lovely little garden area with a fountain and everything is very peaceful looking there are chairs where you can sit and read outside. They even have a lounge with a computer and a massage chair! Now let me get started on the food. I’ve eaten at multiple two star Michelins and the beef you get here is better than the beef youget at two star Michelin.This service is incredible anytime you need water or tea refilled! A lovely Japanese experience the food. All of the food is amazing perfect rice. Best rice of my life. Great location also nice restaurants around for lunch and Tokyo Towers a hop skip and jump and if you’re taking the bullet train basically a mile away. Definitely one of the best hotels of my life.

Small (they only have 7 or 8 rooms) but perfectly formed hotel, with great staff. Calm and luxurious in a quiet area. Great Japanese style breakfast and we had one evening meal that tasted as good as it looked. Only regret was that my suitcase was too small to take the ofuro (wooden bath tub) home with me.

What a beautiful place! With impeccable details and excellent hospitality! From the overall design, to the guest room, to the common living areas and shared space, to the beautiful Japanese garden, it makes one feel at home yet so much more history, tranquil, culture and beauty! Did I mention the breakfast and dinner are out of this world with a rich display of the ceramics! Best place to stay in Kyoto!

We had a really lovely stay. The building is beautiful and they have a cozy lounge with complimentary coffee, tea and snacks and a little massage pillow. The staff are very friendly and polite. We had both the Western and Japanese style breakfasts, both of which are beautifully prepared and delicious. The cypress bath was a very nice treat after our many long days of walking. Would definitely stay again if we’re ever so lucky to visit Japan again!

This was my first time in Japan/Kyoto and I couldn’t be happier with my stay at this Ryokan. The staff? Incredibly warm, friendly, accommodating, and speak great English. The food? Delicious! The rooms? Very comfortable yet traditional with an amazing shower & tub bathing room. The amenities? Free water bottles, tea, coffee, & snacks throughout the entire stay. They also have pajamas & Yukatas for guests to wear for free during the stay (and for purchase for a great souvenir or gift) and a beautiful common area surrounding a picturesque courtyard. Location? On an amazing, quiet street in Kyoto, just an easy, scenic 15-20 minute walk from the hustle & bustle and excellent restaurants, shopping, & nightlife. My wife & I plan on staying here again when we are back in Kyoto!

We stayed in this beautiful traditional Roykan in Kyoto. The staff were incredibly helpful and friendly. The rooms were immaculately clean and we stayed in Tokiwa which is on the ground floor next to the library. All rooms have tea and coffee making facilities. Our bath had all the toiletries we needed. We wore our Yakuta to breakfast which was a typical Japanese feast. We would highly recommend this Roykan.
