After all, the open-air bath in the room is the best! There is also a tea bag, so you can enjoy the bath with the best scent! The room is clean and free beer!
When I called at midnight when I was hungry, I even got the service of Kyoto-style Oyakodon!
Breakfast is also charged, but the seasonal Kyoto vegetables were baked right in front of you and it was delicious!

Incredible experience, the best part of our 23-day trip in Japan. The staff was most welcoming and the food was excellent! We got the breakfast twice as well as the supplementary sukiyaki dinner once. It was a pleasure to stay at the ryokan, totally worth the price we paid!

The service is top notch. The staff was very friendly and accommodating. The unit was amazing and very relaxing, especially the outdoor hot tub. The dinner and breakfast were one of the best we meals we've had in Japan and the additional room service (massage) really completed the experience.

It was our 1 year wedding anniversary & 2022 year end vacation, and it was the right choice to us to spend the day in nazuna kyoto nijojo. Peaceful and beautiful place and super kind staffs. Breakfast was dynamic we could choose whether beef or fish, both was amazing. Korean speaking staff was also very helpful and kind too. Hope to revisit someday!

We booked two rooms for three nights, each with the private onsens and the breakfast package. Bottom line- the rooms, the amenities, the food AND specially the warm and accommodating staff all exceeded our expectations! While we considered just trying the ryokan experience for one night, it was well worth the 3-night stay. Nazuna Nijo jo had the perfect combination of well-appointed luxury with genuine Japanese culture, as well as traditional features (tatami seating, outdoor onsen, etc.) with modern comforts (hi-tech toilet seats, westerns-tyle beds, shower fixtures etc.). The outdoor Japanese garden and the semi-outdoor onsen was quite a 'zen' enjoyment. They are also centrally located and next door to the Nijo Palace. Kudos to Nazuna Nijo Jo! We look forward to staying there again when we return to Kyoto. Kudos to Nazuna Nijo Jo for a truly memorable experience!

We only stayed one night but it was an amazing experience for both of us! This is our first time staying at a ryokan but our hostess spoke English and told us everything we needed to know. The complimentary snack gifts were a pleasant surprise including matcha, a variety of cold drinks and tea. They even provide soft pajamas and amenities that we don't normally get in the US. It felt like we were living in a home in Kyoto for a night. Booking a in-room massage (for extra) was easy and definitely needed after our time in Tokyo. They provide a bunch of other services such as komono rental for the day and photos if wanted. So glad we chose Nazuna for our first ryokan experience with it's own touch of modern and traditional. We would love to come back.

We were visiting Kyoto with my kids 22 and 20yr old. We really enjoyed the Ryokan experience. The rooms were large . We had 2 beds and they arranged 2 futons in the sitting room. The private baths were very relaxing after the long walks of sight seeing. My kids enjoyed the dinner and the breakfast. The staff was very friendly and spoke good English.

Such a lovely place, everything was so nice from the beds to the traditional house and outdoor bath. Staff so nice and helpful. Also enjoyed the complementary local snacks and drinks from Kyoto. Walking distance to main area with shopping and markets but situated in a more quiet area. Would highly recommend.
