They didn’t give us early check in but they give early check in to others. Property was very awesome but staff were not cooperative. Manager was better person. Thou there was no vegetarian option in breakfast. So unfortunately we couldn’t do it. And they don’t provide any amenities like toothpaste, toothbrush, comb, shaving kit. Thou there tea pot and tea was nice. It’s was a mixed kind of experience

Very stylish and modern hotel in a great location and within walking distance to shopping district, gion and metro. This is an eco hotel so limited amenities are provided in the room, also be prepared to pay for the toothbrush. Breakfast is plentiful with lots of good selection.

It’s an environmental friendly hotel and located at the bustle centre of Kyoto. A short distance to Gion. A lot of shops and restaurants around. Super convenient location. Worth to mention there is a very nice and artisan pastries shop within the hotel building, Patisserie RAU.

Amazing place to stay. Location is amazing, a lot of shopping options right next to the hotel. It is actually connected right next to a mall. Also, the hotel itself has a little supermarket and restaurants inside it‘s facilities. There is always a very pleasent smell in the service area and entrance and even though we didn‘t get to use the gym during our short stay, it seemed somewhat useable (not only for cardio)

We were fortunate to receive a complimentary upgrade to the Higashiyama Terrace Suite, which made our stay even more memorable. The hotel blends modern design with sustainability, offering thoughtful eco-friendly amenities such as body wash, shampoo, conditioner, and room slippers. The mini-bar, stocked with daily aluminum bottles of water, glass bottles of orange juice, and cans of beer, was a nice touch. Breakfast and evening canapés were good, though the lack of menu variety after a few days led to some monotony.
One point of confusion was the sleepwear tucked away in the pullout drawers, which we only discovered after check-out. Additionally, while the hotel clearly values sustainability, it wasn’t clear that bathrobes wouldn’t be replaced during the stay. We left a soiled robe on the floor, only to find it hung back up without being changed, which felt a bit off.
Overall, the stay was enjoyable, and we appreciated the hotel’s efforts toward sustainability and modern comfort. A little more clarity on certain policies and menu variety would have made the experience even better.

Had a wonderful stay! The hotel was beautiful and was guided straight to our rooms from reception. Was clean and the location is so convenient to get to different places in kyoto. Close to a lot of shops! Would definitely come back :)

If I had to point out a slightly unsatisfactory aspect, it would be the inefficiency of the front desk service. When I asked for a recommendation for the nearest laundry service, they didn’t provide any suggestions at all and were quite perfunctory.
Due to being in a hurry, I asked the front desk to call a taxi to the bus station for me. Instead of taking action, they kept saying that the roads were closed today and that taxis might be delayed, along with a lot of unhelpful comments. This wasted a few minutes. It would have been much better if they had simply gone downstairs to call a taxi and helped solve the problem.
Overall, I felt their service lacked enthusiasm, which was something I was very dissatisfied with. As for location wise, this hotel’s location is UNBEATABLE. I would stay again for the location and nothing else

Overall, it is over rated by influencers. Using their budget on marketing rather than their service.
1. Hygiene : not so good.
(Dusty and not managed properly)
2. Room condition: Triple Corner room was so dark. Tricky to handle light using tablet.
3. Service: two nights stay, they didn’t provide room cleaning service. I had to ask to bring towels when I go out but they didn’t collect the used towels so I had to ask them bring it back again.
