The hotel is across the road from the crossings you see when you exit the doors beside a McDonald’s.
Check in was easy, they had a locker room to hold our luggage while we explored until the room is ready at 3pm. Front counter spoke excellent English, and were very friendly and welcoming.
We booked a 3 bed room, the toilet and bath are separate. Space was OK, with enough space in the corner of the room to open just a 26 inch luggage.
For parents - the second floor vending machines sold Meiji milk in glass bottles for about 150yen. It was an unexpected convenience for us.
Laundry was very crowded , we gave that a miss.
We especially enjoyed the coffee in the lounge area. Freshly ground, with seats and tables to sit and drink our coffee as we planned our journey across Kyoto.
Our only complaint was that on our last night (13th June 2024) we were very bothered by thumping steps, running and jumping that can be heard from upstairs? The thump was so hard that the ceiling vibrated. We think maybe due to a large group of sch children that checked in for a school trip.
