I would not stay here again and I would not recommend this to my friends and relatives. You just can't remove the comforts like bed, table, chairs and make you sleep on a futon bed on the floor and make you use old toilet and shower and call it Ryokan experience. Did not bother to check the baths etc.,Only grace for this hotel was the person who was manning the reception. He was very nice and courteous.

Bring a pillow. The beds themselves are really comfortable but the pillows were pretty uncomfortable. The building itself was pretty empty and the women’s bath area was really nice (it looked like it was redone recently). There’s a shared restroom on each floor but since there weren’t many other people it was private for the most part. They have a place on the balcony to dry your clothes as well.

The pillows aren’t great and the building is pretty old, but the owner was nice and it’s cheap and close to Kyoto station.

Traditional beautiful hotel, manager was so helpful and accommodating, made our entire stay in kyoto easy and soecial. Highly recommend would go here. again.
Walkable distance to kyoto station when taxi station is huge wait.

這家店的正式名字是“近江屋”，也是很有年頭的店，從店裡掛的認證狀來看，應該是大正年間創立的。但是過了這麼多年，應該很難也許是力不從心吧。前台接待是個日語很溜的外勞，另外還有一位刷卡機也用的不是很溜的阿姨。酒店的設施很老了，房間有帶私衞和不帶私衞的，但是即然有公共浴池，那可以把私衞裏的浴缸都去掉。公用馬桶的蓋子是現代電動的，私用的就平板的。房間有大有小，適應性很好。但是隔音不好，晚上有人進出門上廁所什麼的，聲音很響。交通不是很便利，從京都站走過來約要10分鐘。這家酒店如果能投資翻新的話，也許會很好，但以目前的狀況，也就衹有20到30百分比的客房使用率，這個數字真有點低哦。

京都駅の南側にあり、享保十三年創業という点に食指が動きました。 7.5畳の和室でゆったりとしています。嬉しくも布団が敷かれてありました。畳は藺草ではなく、けば立ってやや傷んでいました。 クローゼットがあります。中に浴衣と帯とタオルが置かれてあります。 ベランダがあるので出てみました。 トイレ・洗面台・バスタブ一体のやや狭い浴室があります。ウォシュレットはありません。出入り口に段差があります。 1階に大浴場があります。 脱衣場にロッカーはなく、籠の入った20個の棚があります。 浴槽は1.2m＊3mほどの大きさで、湯温は熱くもぬるくもなく快適でした。 カランは8か所ありました。夜と朝に入浴しましたが、いずれも一人湯でした。 全体に設備はやや老朽化の感を否めませんが、掃除は行き届いているようでした。 ロケーションと大浴場から考えて割安感がありました。
