Very Traditional Breakfast in Kyoto style, I love it !

The service attitude is very good and the Japanese-style hotel is very unique. Everyone is very nice. There was also a handsome blond guy who welcomed us (very eye-catching for girls)

The facilities of this hotel are indeed a bit old, and the location is near the Yasaka Shrine. It is convenient to go to Kiyomizu Temple, but it is a little troublesome to go to other scenic spots or urban traffic. You can definitely choose a newer brand hotel with a better location at the same price . However, the service of this hotel is very good. You can feel the traditional Japanese service. After checking out, the manager will watch you leave until you disappear from his sight. And seeing that I was drying my clothes, the staff also helped me to dry them faster with an electric fan. If you value service quality, then this is a good choice.

The room is old, the little toothpaste is dry, the toothbrush is very hard, and the WI-FI signal is very poor. However, the location is close to Yasaka Shrine, not far from Kiyomizu Temple, and the service attitude is very good and polite. Probably because of the Zhiyuan Festival, the price is not low, and the price/performance ratio is not high, so it is not recommended

The seat is very good, the service is very warm, the breakfast is not a little bit good, but it is very good. It’s just that the price is a bit high because the overall garden facilities are a bit weak, and there is no experience of public soup and no Japanese-style pajamas. The breeze is much better and half the price is that the seats are weaker.

The kaiseki breakfast is very good, the location is great, just next to the Yasaka Shrine, the tatami mats are also very comfortable, and you can fully experience the feeling of an old house.

The room is smaller than expected, and the facilities and utensils are relatively simple, but the advantage is that it is clean and tidy. There is a curling iron in the room. The location is good. As long as you don't care about the lack of fireworks around, it is also a good choice.

Japanese tatami, a novel experience

This is precisely as advertised. A traditional place full of high touch courtesy, but where a Westerner like me feels appropriately lost. I came with the David Bowie lyrics (see title) in my head. And I loved it in every way. I see many reasons to come back

Wonderful rooms. Perfect location in the heart of the Gion. Full of charm. This is a well priced ryokan. My room was perfect in every way. I had one of the rooms with Western beds. That said, everything else fit the classic ryokan script. Many ryokan offer dinners. Not the case here, which is a blessing in that Kyoto abounds with so many excellent restaurants. My only criticism is that the breakfast was pretty bare bones. Rather undistinguished breads and ok coffee and tea.

Great place to experience an authentic Ryokan stay at the heart of Kyoto. Quite walkable to public transportation and sightseeing places such as Kiyomizu-dera and Kodaiji. Night visits to Yasaka shrine were great - just a 2 min walk from the Ryokan. I did not like that there were no vegetarian options provided for breakfast. Breakfast is a traditional egg, fish, vegetables and rice. Even the vegetables and rice are cooked with fish broth and hence cannot be consumed by vegetarians. I feel the meals can be made vegetarian friendly - at least the rice and vegetables.

Amazing experience staying in a Ryokan. Hosts were very friendly people and only too happy to help.
