The breakfast is good, the room is clean and spacious, and staff can speak some English. The location is near to kyoto station and one of the metro line so we could easily travel to other parts of Kyoto such as Gion district. Overall it's a good experience and will want toncome back again

The staff were friendly and helpful. The room wasn't very spacious but it's clean and tidy. The location is perfect, just near the railway station.

Conveniently located not far from the Kyoto station, ALA is quite a new and modern place that provides great accommodation and all the amenities at affordable prices. The room we stayed is more spacious than other similar standard hotels in Japanese cities, with separate shower/bathtub and toilet section. There is spa, gym and conference rooms for both business and leisure travelers. Best of all is the breakfast. We stayed here for four nights and enjoyed a variety of good Japanese, Chinese, Italian, and American meals every morning. The soft-serve ice cream was my most favorite.
The staff was very polite and efficient. Room was clean and tidy with new bed linen and towels changed daily although we did not throw off the used one. All in all it is a value-for-money 4 Star Hotel that anyone visiting Kyoto should consider.

This is my third time staying in Ala Hotel for my vacation. The first two times I came was with very good experience, everything was perfect. However, this time when I come, everything is different.
The breakfast quality was not as good as the first time I came. The taste was not good, the food is not hot enough…
For the Public Onsen, it was closed at 23:00, it was a little bit rush…and there is no one to clean the Onsen Area, rubbish was everywhere in the changing room and the cups were all used up and no one to refill the cups. So if you are thirsty after the Onsen, there is nothing to drink.
We stayed in the room close to elevator, there is a smoking room next to it. So every night our room is very smelly …

Near to kyoto JR station where kyoto tower is, with walking distant less than 5 min. Carpark beside the hotel at 1,600 overnight parking. Hotel is new, clean and big room with hot spring on the top floor. Cozy room with ample amenities.

Provided hot springs, luggage storage and free laundry by using their laundry room.
Very good location, just about 7-8 minutes walk from Kyoto station to the hotel.
Opposite the hotel have one 7-11, and famous yakiniku shop, also there is one izakaya with great services. Strongly recommend this hotel.

First time to Kyoto, we enjoyed our stay very much at ALA Kyoto. Convenient location, good breakfast, nice hot big bath, clean room. I will want to return to this hotel in the future.
