We had booked a villa but due to some confusion we reached a day late as we were traveling by road. We were accomodated in their heriratage room. Although grateful, we ended up paying too much for a shabby room with no character. The room was not in any state or condition to be part of a 'palace resort'. The food was tasty but very limited spread served in run-down dining hall. They do have a private beach, which is clean and tidy, but the property is quite far from their beach area. You can only reach there using a transport riding through thick forest. The dinner was served on the beach in a featureless and dull shed. There are hardly activities that can be enjoyed at the beach, making the experience really boring and monotonous. The palace is a tourist attraction, and there is always a huge crowd there. Wirh just one counter, there is a long queue to procure the ticket for the palace. The staff was uninterested and lazy. This was not the experience that we expected. The place needs a complete overhaul, for sure.
