Sharazād Boutique Hotel in Zanzibar offers a tranquil beachfront escape with stunning ocean views. Located on the southeast coast near Jambiani, it blends rustic charm with modern comforts. We had a warm welcome from Simon! Thank you for making us feel at home. The rooms are beautifully designed, with options from garden bungalows to ocean-view suites. The relaxed atmosphere, lush tropical gardens, and attentive service make it perfect for couples, family or those seeking a peaceful retreat. With easy access to the beach and nearby attractions, it’s ideal for a serene getaway.

My stay was absolutely incredible! The hotel itself is very beautiful and clean, and the greenery within made it feel very tropical. The fact that it is directly on the beach was fantastic because I was able to jump into the beautiful turquoise water whenever I felt like it. The staff were very accommodating and I especially enjoyed the beachside dinner. Swimming in the pool in the hotel was also great for my friends and I, and it’s the best spot to relax and have a drink. My stay in the hotel was unforgettable and I’ll definitely be returning in the future!

The hotel is located next to the beach. The property is well protected by guards. The rooms have a basic equipment (e.g. ventilator and no AC) and are clean. The restaurant offers a nice seaside view. The quality of the food is ok. Service orientation seems not to be the primary goal of the hotel management. For instance, the check-in process took ages, if you order something you have the feeling of disturbing the staff and attention to details is simply not existing (forgot birthday). Overall, we can not recommend the hotel. You will find better value for your money in adjacent places.

Fantastic place! We spent part of our honeymoon here and it was absolute paradise! Fantastic beach, great rooms, amazing service and really good food! Because of the honeymoon, we even received a bottle of sparkling wine in our room, a private romantic dinner and a sailing tour with snorkeling. Simply outstanding!

What a divine place. It’s chic yet relaxed with an understated luxurious vibe. It was created with love - once a home that grew into a resort and the love shines through. I could have stayed for weeks. The views. The ocean. The beach. The food the staff. So much to offer and executed to perfection. Loved it!!

I hosted a 6 day yoga retreat at this beautiful property where 10 of us had the most beautiful time. Everything from start to finish was amazing and it all exceeded our expectations. The property itself is really special... it is lush, friendly monkeys on the trees, the setting that is very inviting, natural, stylish. The rooms are beautiful. with every detail taken care of. The pools are intimate and not crowded. The staff is kind, switched on and always looking to please you. The food is top notch, with so many options that you will want to try everything. ( mango avocado salad was my favorite!) Jackie the Restourant Manager is brilliant, and so is the rest of the staff. The Nuru spa was great and we had the best treatments and sound healing there. Special thanks to Monika, the GM and Shazia for handling all my requests graciously and exceeding all our expectations. I will be back to this place for sure. Be it with my husband, or for another retreat, this place is truly now on top of my travel list.

This hotel is an absolute gem! The space seamlessly blends with nature, creating a peaceful and serene atmosphere that invites relaxation from the moment you arrive. Every corner is filled with thoughtful, beautiful details that show true care and creativity. The rooms are simply stunning. On top of it all, the food is excellent, and the service is exceptional, with staff who go above and beyond to ensure every guest feels valued. Highly recommended for a perfect getaway!

This was the best hotel I stayed at in Zanzibar. Monika and the staff were very kind and always ready to help. The hotel has four pools and plenty of space to relax, making our three-day stay very enjoyable. This quieter area is great for kitesurfing, with a school on-site. The food was delicious, and we loved the special beach dinner during the full moon. The only downside was the inconsistent Wi-Fi in our room, although it was fast near the pools and restaurant. Overall, I would happily return to this hotel in Jambiani if I visit Zanzibar again!
