The One Resort Zanzibar

Great place , amazing staff, excellent food , reasonable prices . Big room with view over the ocean and perfectly cleaned , turned down every evening , 5 stars service . We will be back for sure. Highly recommend!

I recently had a celebration at The One Resort and I’m out of words to thank the staff and crew who didn’t give me a chance of complaint and put in enormous efforts to make it a memorable one not only for me but for our guests too. Not a single complaint from the 76 guests who attended. From the booking to the candle on the cake everything was looked after into detail by the management. A big thank you to Mr. Peter, Paulina, Agata, Agneta, Karolina, , Ewelina and the whole team! It’s a beautiful, clean and very friendly property. The rooms are beautiful, clean, spacious and very convenient! Their animation team is great! They kept everyone involved with their friendly approach. The food was delicious with a great spread. The chef always made it a point to check on everything personally. I look forward to many more such celebrations and shall definitely go their over and over again! Asanteni Sana!

This hotel is amazing. The property is quite new so all amenities are in good condition. The pool and ambiance is just out of this world. The staff are so nice and super helpful. It was my daughter 3rd birthday and they sang amazing songs for her and she was too excited and had the best birthday ever. I am definitely going back!!Keep up the good work!

Excellent hôtel. Rooms were perfect, staff people were amazing and the food was really good. Nice big pool with some depth in the middle too. Perfect place to rest while visiting the island. No regrets here! Alex and Anouchka

We just returned from our trip to Zanzibar, where we spend 10 days in this hotel. It is absolutely fantastic. Rooms are big and clean, pools are so big and perfect for small kids, but also for adults. Everybody is so friendly and polite in there, we felt more than 'home' there. During our stay, we could remark the very special relation between the owner of this place and the employees. We could not believe how nice he was treating them. We felt like there is actually a big family in there. Special thanks to Ahmed, which made our kids so happy during our stay. He is the best entertainer! Many thanks to Lazarov and all the masai group in there for always smiling and giving us such a good vibe. Many thanks to the women who cleaned our rooms and those who served our meals, which, by the way, are DELICIOUS. We really hope to see you all again one day!

Amazing holidays that I will always remember! I came with my sister and she loved it too! We both enjoyed our time and felt blessed to encounter so many wonderful people working there. We spent 10 amazing days and sadly we must leave today. We’re not looking forward to coming back to our country in Europe ;( As we are Romanians we met a lot of other Romanians at the hotel. The hotel seems to be very very popular with Romanians in general. But all of them very nice and friendly. Food changes daily and is very tasty. Best pinacoladas we ever drank in our lives! We also did amazing excursions at the hotel, such as cooking classes in the local village of Makunduchi, snorkelling at the hotel with a boat ride, visited the local swimming cave as well as Mtende Beach on Quads! Fantastic trips! Those were all amazing!Really just as described and advised by Magdalena, the Guest Relationship Manager, who literally became our best friend for the whole stay! She showed us local villages and when we asked she took us to the local party places too. We admire your 'can-do' attitude! I need to stress that she was at our disposal day and night, constantly in touch and so close to us; reassuring we were always having a good time. You were and still are our best friend and just became our 3rd sister now!Thank you for good laughs and meaningful conversations which we shared. Your approachable personality brightened our stay! We will remember you forever. Also, we must say that inside you are Romanian not Polish ;-) We feel special because of you and all people working there! Those were holidays of out dreams! mulțumesc!

This hotel is brilliant. We have bought a few different vacation on Zanzibar and never we had such a fantastic experience. Pros: 1. Staff is ultra friendly 2. Food on all inclusive is very delicious, and there were always at least 2 dishes to have as a good option 3. Rooms are big, and very comfortable 4. It is cleaned well and spray for mosquitoes.  5.  Alcohol is normal, not like on Egyptian holidays. 6.  Fanta, sprite, cola orginal  7.  On breakfast you even have orginal Nutella each day 8.  It is small object, and there is a lot of stuff. You can always find someone to help, assist you during walk outside or you can go alone.  9.  There is much more, but it was amazing for a stay here. Definitely will come back.  10.  Big pools with 2.7m deep. Nice to swim and relax.  Cons are more related to the island at all, as comings you have to know about it.  1. There are big ebbs and flows, but this has its own unique climate.  2. It is Africa, and everyone is here working slower, but in this hotel was not that bad as others on the island.  3. They may be always some small thing but overall was great!  If you are looking for great quality and paradise island this may be it. Definitely hotel to choose!

Beautiful hotel, wonderful swimming pool and beach. The rooms are new, spacious and very clean. The food is delicious (lots of local fruit). The hotel offers many trips and attractions. Highly recommend it

The good- friendly staff and very friendly Masaai. Nice and quiet environment. Felt clean in the rooms and restaurant. The fruit juice at breakfast and n tye evening was lovely. Pool bar snacks were well cooked and ok price. No hassle on the beach whatsoever The animation men were nice and gently encouraged activities without being overbearing. The village tour was interesting and felt a little like we were on the set of comic relief but wasn’t too intrusive and genuinely was worthwhile. Bring colouring pencils, pens and writing stuff for children in the school with you. Beach football in the evening with the Masaai was incredibly good fun. The evening acrobats and African dancers were brilliant to be fair The bad- if you have people in the group looking for night life or busy pool/beach for lots of people watching this isn’t the place. No where that you can go for a walk from the hotel and unfortunately lots of beach/sea litter. The food although generally good in the evening was a bit up and down. The ugly- They don’t seem to have twin bed options and the second bed in any room is a sofa bed. Neither the sofa bed not the main bed were at all comfortable. It’s a long taxi drive from airport to hotel . One of our sofa beds collapsed and the aircon dripped on us in bed and me of the units didn’t work.
