I stayed to travel to Kushiro for two days and one night from my stay in Sapporo. This is our 2nd stay at this hotel. Stayed for a night on our drive while visiting north eastern Hokkaido between Rausu n Tsurui. Had a twin room with views of the ocean. Nice comfortable room with modern amenities. There is a charge for the carpark and did not have any meals at the hotel. Most stay around here if you want to visit Lake Akan district (still an hour drive as speed limit n single lane road most of it). Good hotel base if you want to visit Tsurui as it’s about 30mins drive and there are not much accommodation choices in Tsurui.

Very close to the Lulu City Railway Station, also close to the Helu Market, but a little far from the Binwu Bridge and Lulu is a lively area. The room is small but at least clean and soundproof is not bad. The breakfast options are relatively small but there are basic choices. The large bath is located in the basement and there are self-service washing machines and dryers; You have to go to the counter to buy laundry detergent. If you want to spend one night, it is already full enough.

However, last year, I used a small hotel in the neighborhood that was a little cheaper for Kushiro 2 nights, but I was satisfied with it, so I want to choose breakfast service, the existence of a large bath, and the balance of the whole facilities. Super hotels will be easy to choose in the sense that the price is affordable and available without anxiety. I tried this time and felt like that again. What was happy with the amenities was that shaver had shaving cream. There are many business hotels in the city, but there are still many places in the country. Yamahana Onsen Refre is a hotel located in Yamahana, Kushiro City, Hokkaido. On June 28, 2022, I walked to Sarubo Observatory and Sarurun Observatory. From there, I drove to Yamahana Onsen Refre. First, I checked in at the front desk. On this day, I was in room 211 on the second floor. I was hoping for an ”old lady who couldn't open the door,” but an old lady who entered smoothly (lol). Unfortunately, it was a smoking room, so it smelled a bit like cigarettes. It was a 10-tatami Japanese-style room, and it was surprisingly spacious. There was a TV and a refrigerator. A water heater and a cold water pot. The view from the window looked like this. The Kushiro City Zoo is right next door, and you can see the Ferris wheel. I'm glad there's an electric fan. There's a bathtub, but I probably won't use it because I'll be going to the large public bath. The toilet has a heated seat. Razors are sold for 120 yen. I went to the hot spring right away. Yamahana Onsen is said to be the first hot spring to spring up in Kushiro. The spring water was a little yellowish. It's an alkaline sodium spring. It's said to have the same salt concentration as seawater. It's a shame that there's no wifi. I didn't have a Rakuten mobile line, so I connected with au's 1Mbps. It was 17,970 yen for two people with one night stay and two meals. It was 6:05, so I had dinner at the restaurant on the first floor. We loved the entrance to our room. Modern yet traditional wooden framing. Felt like entering a high end Japanese restaurant. The check in was very welcoming. Everything was explained well an the front desk could speak good English. There were many shops in the hotel and the sister hotel beside it. We could use both onsens. The onsen was like a water park, so many different pools to check out. One night was definitely not enough here. Dinner was a great show! So much great quality food. You would never be able to try everything. The seafood was so fresh. Breakfast was super good as well. Highly recommended!

It is an inn ＆ restaurant built on the hill. You can spend a leisurely time in the spectacular view of Hokkaido. The food was delicious and I was very satisfied. Except for one rental room, the shower and toilet are shared, there is no bathtub, but there are two hot springs in the center of the village, which is about 5 minutes by car.
