2-Star Hotels in Kushiro

This is one of the most generous hotels I have come across. They provide free-flow refreshments, soft serve ice cream and even ramen supper. There is a pillow bay on every floor where you can take additional pillows in various firmness levels as you like. Laundry machine is also complimentary, you just need to buy the detergent from the dispenser. Just be aware that it takes over 3 hours for the wash and dry cycle to complete. Very neat and clean throughout. Within the liveliest district so you can walk around for a large variety of F&B outlets. You can also walk to the Kushiro Washo market (about 20 mins) which we did after check-out because we had to wait for our laundry. Reception kindly kept our bags. Misses - You have to pay for parking which is of a reasonable amount but then you have to walk across the street to the lot if the one next to the hotel is full (which only has space for 8 cars or so). I was very upset with the check-in process. There was a group of businessmen who were also checking-in and had no regard for queuing. Reception should acknowledge that I was waiting in line and asked the last man who waltzed in to wait his turn. The rowdiness of these men soured the experience of enjoying the common space. The room was quite small and the curtains were inadequate. There is no smoking room/area. Breakfast is so-so.

After dinner in Kushiro downtown, I took a taxi to the cold of too much, and when I said, ”super hotel far from the station”, it was returned to ”kurokin Cho”, so when I went to Takashi, I went to ”kurokin Cho” It seems better to say. But there is no distance from the station. It is farther to go to downtown. The room is necessary and sufficient as a business hotel. It is cleaned properly, the atmosphere of the whole hotel is good, and the service like a super hotel such as providing pajamas and pillows separately. Even if it is manual, the unified service in the whole country can be relieved. However, last year, I used a small hotel in the neighborhood that was a little cheaper for Kushiro 2 nights, but I was satisfied with it, so I want to choose breakfast service, the existence of a large bath, and the balance of the whole facilities. Super hotels will be easy to choose in the sense that the price is affordable and available without anxiety. I tried this time and felt like that again. What was happy with the amenities was that shaver had shaving cream. There are many business hotels in the city, but there are still many places in the country. This is happy because it is easy to lose razor. The public bath is divided into men and women in time. Men are from 21 o'clock at night to 6:30 in the early morning. Before and after that is women. Personally, I'm glad to use it in the morning, but it's decided, so this is no choice. I used a large bath before I went to bed and used a shower in the room after I got up. It is not confirmed where it is, but the hot spring is a transportation hot spring. Hot spring with a smeared skin touch. It seems to be a hot spring if it is like a hot spring. The distance between the washroom and the bathtub is close, so I'm worried about how to use it roughly. I want a note. I thought I would have a little breakfast, but when I entered the fourth night, the body was tired and the stomach was tired, and I couldn't confirm it because I gave priority to sleeping rather than eating. The facilities are lodge-style and can't be compared to hotels, but it is the best to enjoy a solo trip slowly. The meal is sufficiently satisfactory and the hot spring is hot, but it is good. Isn't it best to be familiar with nature such as bird watching, this time the weather I couldn't do it badly, but I can enjoy the starry sky of the sky because there is no light.

It's quiet here, there are many shops, convenient for choosing food. There are bicycles for morning sightseeing around the city at a very cheap price.

Service is average as they only speaks Japanese. It's a shared toilet facility which is not so convenience. Have to go all the way down to 1st floor to bath in the onsen room with the mass public make me a little bit embarrasing. All facilities was quite run-down with poor maintenance. Only good things is the breakfast which is quite localised and yummy.

I booked a room at this hotel through Bookings.com, where rooms at their so-called 'Crystal Wing' were the only ones offered. The room cost me 28,000 yen a night but I decided to fork out the exorbitant price for a nice resort by the lake. However, as it turned out, the 'Crystal Wing' is actually an annex. It is originally a different hotel called the Crystal Hotel, which was acquired by the Hotel New Akan next door. The lobby and restaurant of this 'annex' were closed, so we assumed that only the rooms were used to accommodate guests. I don't have problems with annex rooms in other hotels, but for this one, I do. The Crystal Wing is so shabby and run down. The hallways are musty and smelly. It has its own small elevator with buttons so dirty that you don't want to put your finger on. The room looks like it does in the website picture. It looks clean. What is unseen though is the stale musty air! It was so awful to be breathing in the room. The windows cannot be opened, so you are forced to inhale the stale air from the old central AC. It’s really ironic because the fresh mountain air is just outside. What's worse is that the room smells of cigarettes even when it is supposed to be a non-smoking room. Also, the door does not close properly and has to be slammed to shut. The bed is reasonably comfortable, but the sheets do not have the scent of freshly laundered linen, and neither were the yukatas. This gives the impression that the room has not been used in a long time. The yukatas are so worn out, I did not feel like putting them on. The toilet, though very clean, faintly smelt of the sewer. We never saw any other guests on the same floor as us in the annex building. When we looked at the building from the outside during an evening stroll, our room was the only one lighted up. Coupled with the dark, uninhabited lower floors and the sealed-off lobby of this 'Crystal Wing', we felt like we booked a room at a ghost hotel! I complained to the hotel, but all they offered was a different room in the SAME annex building. I wrote a negative review on Bookings thinking it would help other unknowing guests. However, only positive reviews are being featured on the site. Bookings is still selling these Crystal Wing rooms on their website! (No rooms in the main building are available, so this misleads guests to think that the Crystal rooms are NOT the shabbier, older rooms in a different building) Selling these old run-down rooms in the dilapidated building next door for exorbitant prices is simply unscrupulous. Avoid these Crystal rooms at all costs if you want a good night sleep and no creepy, eerie feelings as a holiday memory!

I stayed to travel to Kushiro for two days and one night from my stay in Sapporo. When I left the station and looked to the left side, there was a large display at the top of the hotel, and I immediately knew the location. The hotel was clean and the room had everything I needed. He lent me a bicycle at the hotel, so I was able to easily go to Starbucks, the easternmost part of Japan, a few kilometers away. In addition, the hotel staff was very friendly and taught me the recommended izakaya in Kushiro. The sun manma I ate at the izakaya was delicious. The free breakfast was delicious and I wanted to use this hotel when I stayed in Kushiro.

Because it was a business hotel, check-in in the evening was crowded with salaried men, but check-in in the morning was relatively smooth. There were many breakfast buffets and local ingredients, and the view from the window was wonderful. The open-air bath in the large communal bath was the best, coupled with the cold winter. The sauna was large, but I feel a little low temperature. The room was just the size of the room, and the air purifier was always available and comfortable, but I felt that the electric load on the hotel side seemed to be large because the electric control by the card key was not possible. It is located in front of the Kushiro River, a 5-minute walk from Kushiro Fisherman's Wharf Moo, where the shuttle bus to the airport stops, and there are many restaurants nearby. Since it is a business hotel, check-in in the evening was crowded with office workers, but check-in in the morning was relatively smooth. The breakfast buffet had a lot of local ingredients, and the view from the window was wonderful. The open-air bath in the large public bath was the best, combined with the coldness of winter. The sauna was large, but I felt that the temperature was a little low. The size of the room was just right, and the air purifier was always available, so it was comfortable.
