The hotel staffs greeted us almost immediately after I turn into the parking lot just outside the hotel.
Took a while to get used to the musky smell when first entering the room but it’s all good.
Room was spacious and opt for the Japanese style.
Love the lake view and enjoy the trail walk nearby.
Breakfast was good with the beef choice

The Lake view is superb and I love it so much. Room is perfectly new modern design and very clean as well. Just sit and relax at the window without doing anything is really enjoying because the lake Akan view is really perfect.

It was a tourist hotel, so I was able to stay there casually even if I was traveling alone. This hotel was close to various facilities such as tourist boats, bus centers, tourist information centers, convenience stores, and drug stores, so it was a "hotel that is easy to visit". In many cases, transportation is required to get to major tourist spots from the hotel, but the point is that many places in Akanko Onsen can be reached on foot. In addition, if you add the 500 yen option, you can also enter the hot springs of the Tsuruga group. Of course, the shuttle bus there also runs every 30 minutes.
This is my personal opinion, but if I have the opportunity to go there next time, I think I will try to upgrade the grade a little more and make a reservation. The room was clean and the view and comfort were good, but considering that it was only two nights, I felt that I could have stayed in a better room if I had paid a little more. I will plan my next trip taking into account other expenses.
It was a 2-night, 3-day stay, but it was good to get to know Lake Akan better. I hope to use it again on another occasion. Thank you.

The large public bath is clean and relaxing, but unfortunately there is no window or open-air bath. You may be more satisfied if you go to Tsuruga to take a bath after arriving and before eating.
