The price is not expensive! There are 2 baths in the hotel, which are not big and can accommodate up to 4 people. The upper half is a private bath. You can reserve a time (45 minutes) when you enter the hotel. After midnight, it becomes a public bath for men and women. You can also go to this sister store - Source Ichino hot spring bath, which is no more than 5 minutes' walk away. There are self-service coffee machines and tea bags in the corridors on each floor of the hotel. Meals were not provided when booking the hotel, but when checking in the hotel said they would provide a simple free breakfast, which I found to be pretty good the next morning.

Did Ctrip name this hotel? And this scale can only be considered a hotel, right? It is different from the name on Google. I identified the hotel based on the appearance of the hotel you uploaded! Of course, this is unilateral dissatisfaction with Ctrip! This hotel is very small, and there should be only one waiter, but the service is very good. It is enough. Because the hotel does not open breakfast within 1-5 weeks. The location of the hotel is very good, which adds a lot of points. It is about 200 meters to the hot spring scenic area and about 200 meters to the station. My child and I did not go out to soak in the hot spring. The hotel has its own hot spring, which is a private hot spring. 15 minutes per person, my child and I can accumulate 30 minutes. The water is always flowing! If you think the water is too hot, you can contact the waiter to add cold water~ The sulfur hot spring in Kusatsu is really great! Every time I soak my whole body, I feel very comfortable~

Next to the hotel is a free Jizo soup and a praying Jizo statue shrine. From Shinjuku Bus Station to Kusatsu Onsen Bus Station, a 5-minute walk to the hotel. The path to the hotel went uphill and downhill, in front of which is the Seven Star Hotel, and behind is the hotel where I live. This hotel is even more convenient for the Pochizo soup. There is a sign on the ground of the road, and at the bifurcation, it indicates which side of Jizo Soup and Tangliao (same as google map navigation). The hotel is very close to Yufu (the main valve of the hot spring village, which diverts hot springs with more than 80 degrees, not soaked). The Japanese-style hotel is very spacious and clean, and can't smoke. An authentic breakfast is served in the morning and is highly recommended. The video I recorded seems to only upload pictures. The Japanese-style hotel environment is great.

A Japanese-style hotel without a separate toilet. The public bath is relatively low-end and costs 150 yen per person. The heating is a kerosene stove, which smells great. In short, it's a Japanese country hotel, so it's right to think so. Dinner and breakfast are the only highlights.

The boss speaks fluent English. After chick-in, a bottle of milk will be given, and after chick-out, coffee will be given. Living here will bring back a lot of childhood memories. One disadvantage is that it is a bit far from Yubatake, and the second disadvantage is that the price is a bit expensive. The price we stayed at was 21,419 yen per night!

Good value for money There is a private bath for you to take a dip in It's just that the room doesn't have a bath. You have to go to the big bathhouse to soak in the hot springs and wash together. If you mind, just book the Season Garden. The room space is average and a bit stuffy. It would be better if you open the window Overall very good Anything to eat is fine There is also a shuttle bus to Karuizawa Station (reservation is required in advance)

The hotel has high level of service and facility. The restaurant service and food is supreme. Parking space is totally enough if you do self drive like us. The indoor heat is a little too much even when turn it down like 20 oC. It is -5 to 3 outside. So many onsen option is our reason to pick this hotel. Totally recommend for any small group or family to consider.

GGuest UserThis was my first and only stay at a ryokan so I don’t have much to compare it to. I chose this lodging because of the cats and good reviews on the food. The cats were really sweet and I enjoyed playing with them. I have 2 cats of my own so it was really nice. The food was so beautiful and delicious - the mushroom soup at dinner was amazing. I really enjoyed it. The private bath rooms were very convenient and open 24 hrs. I thought the facilities were clean and very pleasant. The location was very close to the central area and a quick walk to all the important sites including the bus station. The only comment I have was in the morning someone was smoking and the smell got ****** into the 2nd floor hallway so maybe more care should be taken to be sure the smoke stays outside. The host was so nice and sweet and I used google translate to ask questions. The matcha madeleines are so tasty I bought a box to take with me.

YYeung NicoleNo towels are provided in the public hot spring places and needa to bring from room to the onsen spot. Asked the staff about the routes from Kusatsu to Shinjuku and they have no clue at all. Finally got one English speaking staff told us that theres direct bus from the station to Shinjuku. Asked again whether advanced booking of the bus tickets are needed and the staff said it’s not necessary. We ended up the next day missed two earlier buses coz they were already full and we were reluctant to have 2 times transport changes by asking the tourism information centre. Barely staffs can speak and understand English well. However, the French set dinner are really nice and out of our expectations.

GGuest UserThis was my first time staying here! There are a lot of families here! When you enter the hotel, it smells a bit bad, probably because of the humidity. It's a long walk to get to our room for my husband and I, who don't have very good knees. There are also a lot of stairs, so it would be nice if there was a barrier-free area. The food is delicious! There are both Japanese-style and Western-style rooms, and we were able to relax in the spacious rooms.

SSRL13064Excellent service. I will give 10 out of 5 if I could. There was a staff who rushed out to us and asked if we were going to stay at the Ryokan. Very helpful for lost travelers overwhelmed by the cold weather. Greeted us warmly when we arrived. Explained the important information to us as best as they could in English, which is perfectly fine. Room was big. Decorated meticulously in the traditional Japanese style. Yukata and Obi provided added on to the immersive experience. Dinner was exquisite. Dishes gave us a taste of what traditional Japanese cuisine was like. The food was sincere (didn’t feel like frozen / canned / ready made food), served and plated meticulously. There were 2 onsens, indoor and outdoor. They were clean and spacious enough. Water (I believe) is from the hot spring nearby and was immensely therapeutic. Ryokan was near the heart of the town and everything was within walking distance. Kindly shuttled us to the bus terminal when we checked out (we didn’t have to wait for fixed timings) and carried our (heavy) luggage. All in all, we enjoyed the one night stay very much and they set a high bar for Japanese hospitality.

NNat_SThe location is perfect, right on the main square. But this ryokan doesn’t ready for foreign travelers, even Signboard only in Japanese. Workers doesn’t speak English also. And there is no kayseki dinner. In the room you’ll have matcha tea and beautiful tableware, traditional clothes. For breakfast you should choose time 7:30 or 8:30 and it’s so big (2 photo), but for me was very salty. There is two onsen - outside and inside on different floors.

If walk, then you may take longer times. I booked half boards. Dinner included. The dinner is super good. Free flow of rice, soup n side condiment. Breakfast was Okies. Takeaway coffee cups prepare for you. I specially love the onsen. Robe n slippers had prepared in room for your usage. Kusatsu is a place to have a short getaway from Tokyo.

XXIANGA very old hot spring hotel is also the cheapest one in the area. At this price, it was in line with expectations. It arrived a half hour earlier, and it also smoothly let CI. Just like a small Japanese-style hostel, the clerks do not speak English, and they communicate with me in Japanese with no more than 10 sentences. The room is older, but there is everything there, and the bathrobes are beautiful. The hot springs are all public, there is no private soup, and the toilets are also public. There is a squat pit and a toilet. The toilets have to line up that morning. The sense of form at dinner is still in line with the routine of Japanese hot spring hotels. The dishes are ok, and the breakfast is a bit disappointing. It is all carbon water, and the hot spring eggs are not. The geographical location is an extra point. This town has many mountain roads. His home is a 1-minute walk from the bus station, and it will not be very tired to go up and down, let alone ask the hotel to drive to pick it up. According to these circumstances, it is okay to give 4 points, but I don't recommend everyone to live, because this house has hidden charges, and in winter it will charge 500 warm house fee and 150 hot spring water tax. There is no mention on the booking page. If the hot spring tax is not unfamiliar to people who frequent Japan, what is called the warm house fee is very strange. Communicate with the store. They showed me their official website, which means that there is a statement. I said that I didn't set it on the official website. I have no way of knowing it. I prefer to believe that the owner ’s idea is pure and not intentional, but doing business is very frustrating. No wonder it takes up such a good position and does not renovate. Similar hotels that have been renovated next door can sell twice as much. Of course, the result of the matter itself is still good. This hidden charge problem was later subsidized to me by Ctrip. I praised Ctrip customer service and dealt with it in a particularly efficient and professional manner. The reasons for not recommending are: 1. Difficulty in communication. I went to the next few places and visited. Although the English is not fluent, it is obviously much better. There are local characteristics (I changed to the hotel the next day); 3. In addition to the so-called warm house fee, his family's original price advantage of only three or fifty rmb will no longer exist, and you can choose the same price slightly more expensive, Choose the few hotels, the single room price is also in this grade, but the conditions are much better, anyway, this one also experiences impenetrable Japanese feeling, if you really want to experience Japanese feeling, you can choose a hotel above 1500rmb.

GGuest UserExcellent stay! Hotel may be old but the facilities are up to date and clean. Service from staff is also generally good. 7mins walk to Sainokaiwara Park via the short cut. It’s a 15mins walk from Yubatake and you’ll need to walk up a slope to get to the hotel, may be strenuous for those with luggages. There’s a shuttle bus to and fro hotel to Yubatake every hourly, refer to photo. There’s even a shuttle bus to Takasaki train station, so ask the staff for details. Breakfast in hotel is excellent and very homely, overall enjoyed my stay here and will recommend friends to come!
