Kusatsu Onsen Boun

Kusatsu|0.23km from Kusatsu Tsurutaro Kataoka Museum
Since I was refraining from traveling in Corona, I decided to motivate myself in Kusatsu because I had accumulated my travel greed. The inn is Kusatsu Onsen Nozomi! Guest rooms with open-air baths. Staff: What is the staff at check-in? It was a response, but I think it is very good. When I passed each other, I always greeted you. In addition, those who guided me to the room, those who prepared meals, those who laid out the futon, those who cleaned, staff at check-out, Everyone was the best staff ever. Rooms: Clean well and the room size is perfect. It was too wide. Speaking of force, the sliding door of the toilet was bad and it was difficult to open. Bath: I used the open-air bath in the room, Mandai-no-Yu, and Nishi-no-Yu. The temperature of the hot water is a little hot, but I get used to it soon. The open-air bath in the room is surrounded by three sides with board walls and the scenery is not good. Mandai no Yu and Nishi no Yu were quaint, and it was like Kusatsu Onsen. However, there is another large communal bath, Yuzan no Yu, but since the baths for men and women are replaced in time, you have to enter this hot spring from early morning to early morning. I couldn't enter because the morning was weak. Meals: Supper was in the room and breakfast was served at the restaurant (private room). Both are sufficient. Especially for dinner, I think there is a lot for snacks. The taste was outstanding and very delicious. Finally: Thanks to my inspiration, I was able to have the best experience at a good inn. Also, when I go to Kusatsu Onsen, I would like to stay in a room that is a little more reasonable at this inn.

Location - about 10min walk from the bus terminal at Kusatsu station. Walkable unless it's snowy or froze on the ground as part of the path is quite steep to walk up. Not hard to find as the town is quite close to everything. About 15min walk to yubatake for the famous onsen for pictures and local food and snacks. You can walk to the Sainokawara Onsen(open air public onsen) for about 8min which is located just behind the hotel itself. Service - they do provide transport to and from Yubatake with a specific timetable. They also have an open luggage area at the main hall if you area before check-in you could just leave the luggage and explore the town. They also have separate gender onsen with both indoor and outdoor facilities. They came around 7pm to my room to offer to set up my sleeping mattress. The dinner time was 6.45pm to 8pm and they may vary between seasons. You will be located in a seat in the dining room so don't worry about the crowd and having to fight for your seat. It's buffet style food and I read previous comments about food being cold. They aren't cold as it was heated around 60c ish but the moment food leaves the Bain Marie it will become cold especially during winter. Alcohol is included but you need to be 18 years old. They will start closing some stations including soft serve around 7.30pm so do get there earlier. Cleanliness - just an older building and maintenance pretty ok. You could tell from the design it's a bit outdated but it wasn't dirty or messy. Amenities - they have a Japanese sleep/bath robe at the main hall for guests to take if you need. There's no wifi in the room unfortunately and the only free wifi provided by the hotel is just located down at the main hall. I was given a Japanese style room which is pretty standard. It was on the 7th floor so it came with a pretty good view.

The hot water that the Shogun's hot water pumped up had a high ceiling and the warmth of the wood was very tasteful. The smell of sulfur, the amount of hot water, the slightly white and muddy color ... The quality of Kusatsu Onsen is really good. Flowers and artworks are displayed in the hallways in the hall, making you feel rich. The accommodation fee is a reasonably high inn, but I thought I was spending enough money properly. The employees were always greeted when they saw it, and it was very pleasant. I wanted to drink beer after taking a bath, so I searched for a lounge where I could drink light draft beer, but I didn't. However, there is a cafe with an inn right next door, and you can drink local beer (unfortunately you can't drink draft beer). Because the car is normal tires (because I was worried about snowfall), this time I left my car at the parking lot at the Kusatsuguchi exit of JR Naganohara and went to Kusatsu Onsen by bus. I don't think it's very publicized (I told you to park the car at the Naganohara Kusatsuguchi at the time of booking the inn, but there is no explanation from the inn), but Naganohara Kusatsuguchi ~ Kusatsu Onsen round-trip bus is Park & Ride discount will be 30 % draw (parking ticket required). Since it is downhill from Kusatsu Bus Terminal to the inn (about 5 minutes), it will be a good walk while looking at the hot spring town. I think it is better to use the transfer bus of the inn because it will be climbing on the return.

Kusatsu Hotel Bekkan Wata No Yu (Adult Only)

Kusatsu|0.03km from Kusatsu Tsurutaro Kataoka Museum
This is a hotel at the entrance to Sainokawara Park. The location is at the west end of Kusatsu Onsen, but it is not quiet as it is located at the entrance to the park. The location of the hotel is a bit far from the bus terminal, but does not provide separate shuttle service. You have to climb a little up the hill. Not a traditional ryokan building, but a ryokan style service is performed in a general hotel building. The bedding was not very good. There were bloody traces, hair. The view is not bad as the Kusatsu Onsen 1913 is right in the location. Halfboard meals are served on the second floor where you can see the hotel right in front of you and hear the sound of water coming out of Sainokawara Park. The meal was very satisfying. Japanese dinner and breakfast are provided, and the quality is great for the price. Rooms and facilities are not very good. The hotel has a spoonful of ryokan style rooms, with fashion tatami and tea tables, and only toilets in the rooms. There is no private shower or bathroom, so you have to solve it in the large bath on the first floor. The size of the large bath is also small, so there are only two small and narrow baths, and the sauna in the large bath is not always operated. The facilities other than the large bath are all the foot baths on the third floor. There are only 12 rooms in total, so the service is attentive. The staff remembers each customer and proceeds with the service.

It is on the upper floor of the soba restaurant in front of Yubatake. Great location. Good for sightseeing and walking. You can hardly hear any noise when you enter the room. You can take a bath at night. The room was spacious and well cleaned. It was my first time using it, so I had two meals. The contents were good, but breakfast starts at 9:00 and check out is at 10:00. Depending on the number of nights or the purpose, you may eat out or go shopping without meals.

We stayed for one night on November 28. Reservation is HP of Kusatsu Hotel. We booked a main building corner room with two meals per night. You can pick up and drop off by car from Kusatsu Onsen Bus Terminal. Kusatsu Hotel is a beautiful Japanese style inn with a wooden 3-story building built on the high ground of the entrance to the West Kawahara Park. The quaint building is very good atmosphere. The antique furnishings and decorated raw flowers were modest and beautiful. The adjacent Kataoka Tsurutaro Museum of art seems to be operated by Kusatsu Hotel. The corner room on the 3 floor of the main building was a good room with a good view with two corners surrounded by windows. The old wooden frame window feels good. Thanks to the snow that had fallen the day before, we enjoyed the snowy scenery of Kusatsu. The ”Okuba” of the restaurant, which was extended to 2020, is a modern and bright atmosphere while leaving a Japanese taste. The breakfast and evening meals were beautiful, and all the dishes using fresh ingredients were delicious. The public bath (open-air two hot water) is also in a new separate building. It is full of openness and is kept clean. With a large inner bath with a source hanging water and an open-air bath, Kusatsu! It was a very pleasant hot water. (West Kawahara source) Kusatsu Hotel, great satisfaction with a wonderful inn as word of mouth!

KAMENOI HOTEL KUSATSU YUBATAKE

It is newly renovated, probably a renovation, but the details still show traces of old age, there is a lot of dust, and the countertops are very dusty. Because we are not driving by ourselves, it is quite far to walk to the hotel. However, after checking in, the hotel will send you a password for the Yubata shortcut. It only takes 3 minutes to walk to Yubata. However, I think the service is very good. You can't make calls in the room, and my phone card only has Internet function. I went to the front desk to borrow it. The hotel staff were very nice and helped me make calls. It took up a lot of their time and they were not impatient. Thank you very much. The price is very affordable, and you get two meals for one stay (both are buffets, with many varieties, and they are delicious), plus a dandan noodle for midnight snacks. There should be 3 types that are randomly changed every day, and they are small and delicious.
