Transportation: The hotel is not close to Kusatsu Yuda. Looking at Google Maps, it takes about 15 minutes to walk from Kusatsu Onsen Bus Terminal to the hotel. I thought it was not far. But in reality, you have to go uphill, then downhill, and then uphill again to get to the hotel. It is recommended that other guests go to the hotel to take a taxi, which is more convenient, and do not trust Google Maps. For hotels: The hotel has 3 floors and feels like a relatively large B&B. It should be noted that the hotel does not have an elevator, so those with large luggage should be careful. The hotel staff can communicate in simple English. The male owner happened to be the one I checked in on the day I checked in. He helped carry my luggage upstairs, but I had to move it myself when I checked out. I stayed and had two meals, and both dinner and breakfast were delicious, rich and delicious. You can choose Western or Japanese food for breakfast. Dinner without wine will cost extra. But there was an incident during dinner. I rang the bell twice to order wine, but no one responded. Then I had to ask the female shopkeeper to order the Kusatsu beer they recommended when the food was served, but no wine was served to me until the meal was over. , until I left, I asked the hostess, and she asked the older female employee to answer me and said it would be in stock just now, and you can take it back tomorrow! I was so dumbfounded at the time! If you don't have the goods, you can tell me or cancel, but don't decide for the customer without authorization. Then I told the older employee to cancel. I didn’t know if they would cancel it, so I thought it was okay, I could take it back as a souvenir the next day! Little did I know that I had not received the wine when I checked out. Not only did they not cancel, but they also charged me more than the price of the wine. I explained the situation to the male owner in Japanese, and of course I was refunded. But the overall feeling is not good. The female shopkeeper's service is poor, resulting in overcharging customers. The CP value is high in terms of price, but the service has really improved. I won't consider staying here again, since they are targeting locals. It would be better to stay in a more expensive hotel near Yuda.
