I visited for the first time in early October. It was a special room with a spacious floor plan, not only the bath, but also a large garden that could be seen clearly from each room, and the room was surrounded by trees. It was cool in Kusatsu, so I was thankful for the floor heating, which made my stay comfortable. The bath also had large windows, making it look like an open-air bath surrounded by trees in the garden. The food was more delicious than I expected, and I thoroughly enjoyed the taste of autumn. The person in charge of the room was courteous and attentive, and I could see the hostess greeting me during dinner, which made me feel the hospitality of a Japanese inn for the first time in a while. This is an inn that I would like to visit again.

I was stubborn and stayed, but the private bath I was looking forward to because the hot water was drawn from the Yubatake wasn't as cold as a cold bath. It didn't smell like sulfur at all, and it felt like it was diluted with water. The bath was so cold that I thought it was a water bath after a sauna. Is it because the previous person added water when I went to complain immediately? And the end of blaming the customer. I told him to go to the bathroom to check it out, and he did, but I didn't hear anything after that. The next morning, when I asked the front desk what happened to the private bath, they simply said that it was a mistake in adjusting the hot and cold water. Instead, shouldn't we inform the situation immediately after confirming and apologize properly? I was looking forward to the private bath, but I came back without entering! Never again! It's just a waste of money! Not recommended!

The original luxury hot spring inn. The first time I went was about 15 years ago? kana. There are many luxury inns these days, but this one is the original. To be honest, it feels a little old-fashioned now, but whether you think that's a good thing or not is up to you. Although it is still one of the top-ranked inns in Kusatsu, it is a little far from Yubatake (they provide transportation), so if you want to enjoy the atmosphere of a hot spring town, I think it would be better to stay in an inn near Yubatake. The building looks a bit old, but this is Kusatsu! The best selling point is the hot springs, so it can't be helped. The hot water is also wonderful. There are also rooms with hot springs and private baths. The large public bath (with open-air bath) is also reserved for private use, perhaps due to the small number of rooms, so a normal room is sufficient. The food has improved a lot since I went there a few years ago (I think the head chef has changed). Prices start from 30,000 yen, and considering the hot springs and meals, I think the total cost performance is excellent in this day and age. We received matcha and Japanese sweets as a welcome, flowers, and hot spring steamed buns, so it was warm for the whole family. The staff are natural, for better or for worse, but something like this happened this time. I used the private bath and was told to return the key when I was done, but I completely forgot the key in the bathroom. Then, a male staff member came rushing into the room in a fit of rage and yelled, ``Where did you put the key?!'' 😵 What was the reason for this, and why did you suddenly get angry at the customer? ” I was really surprised (^^;) Even if it wasn't a relationship between staff and customers, it doesn't matter who the other person is, how is it possible for a person to get mad at the slightest mistake? Sho? (My mistake aside lol). The male staff member said that no matter how hard he looked for a bathroom, he couldn't find one, so I went to the bathroom with him, and he kept complaining and whining, so I also went to the bathroom. ``Don't be so angry about something like that,'' he said. . Despite this farce, when I went to the bathroom, the key was right there (^^;) I don't know who this staff member is, but maybe he just happens to be a strange person, or the true nature of the inn is reflected in him. I don't know if this is the case, but it is completely different from the so-called "staff mistake". Honestly, I was stunned. I'm not saying that something like that happened, but somehow I felt like I wouldn't come again.
