A standard Scandic of the slightly older version. Great location and lots of parking in the underground parking house under the main square. Breakfast is good but slightly under standard for Scandic, but better than most other hotels. Rooms are comfy but cleaning could be better.

Hotel is situated just in the heart of city beside market square. It is very easy to hop in citylife. Everything was clean and tidy in general. Basic breakfast was good but nothing special. Only thing that disappointed us was the fee with Moovy application. Hotel webpage informed lower price than Moovy invoiced afterwards via application. That is not okay. Receptionist should tell this if there is price gap between webpage and actual parking price. Also receptionist should inform if indoor route to parking garage via shopping center is closed on sunday mornings.

Not perhaps even the standard experience of a standard room. The standard room window view is into the inside of a department store. The room ventilator makes such a noise that it had to be turned off. There was no coffee or hot water in the room. The bathroom was strangely big and chilly. The room temperature could not be adjusted. However, the bed was good to sleep in and the breakfast was regular. 140 e club price way beyond the real value of the place.

Overall everything worked perfectly except customer service on checkout. Room was very nice, clean and very quiet. Accordingly resting was enjoyable. But, there is really something to improve on customer service. On checkout the person was more cold than friendly to me and clearly needs some training with customer service skills. Of course everybody has bad days but that can’t be the reason for poor quality. Customer service personnel are the business card of the company.

Best location in Kuopio. Very good breakfast. Clean room. Water kettle should be available free of charges in all rooms.Now we had to bring our own. Nice hotel anyway - our home away from home in Kuopio.

Stayed one night late February. The room was very fine with good space and views. But one of the pillows smelled mold. The pillow had to be locked in the closet because of the smell. I had also troubles with the door lock. The door was difficult to open.

Location and breakfast (and staff at the breakfast room) raises overall rating from "average" to "very good". We had room with an infrared sauna. Do not pay any extra for this option - an infrared sauna is a joke! It's Insult to the word "sauna".

Hotel is located right next to the marketplace right in the middle of the city. Everything in Kuopio is within a walking distance from the hotel. Rooms are a bit worn, but very tidy and beds were good. Internet connection was ok, but the TV did not have Chromecast option. On the breakfast there were a lot of vegan options which was really nice. Will definitely come back.
