Traveled and used hotels in many places. But I've never been as impressed as I was at ibis Kunming Nanping Pedestrian Street. The receptionist who took care of me on the afternoon of December 11th took very good care of me. I walked up to the room and inquired about it myself. Does the room smell? Is it comfortable to stay? We just gave a little feedback and the staff offered to change rooms immediately. Make every service easy. The welcome fruit was wonderful.

Location is good with pedestrian streets nearby. The only complain is that there’s no proper drop off point in front of the hotel, expect luggage to get wet during rainy weather. Room is clean and spacious to open up 2 big luggages. Bathroom of our original room has some broken floor tiles and a detached shower head from its socket, we thought these are potential hazards. Staff apologized and was prompt in switching us to another room. Overall, recommended!

Pros: bed and shower room were clean, jasmine tea was the best that I have tasted, scent of the shower cream and shampoo made me wanted to keep them for myself, the location was good ,breakfast has more variety than the others.
Cons: no closet to hang my clothes or tower
Conclusion: I was really satisfied and enjoyed the stay and would surely recommend it to all of my friends.

We loved it. The room was beautifully designed and well equipped, very quiet and equipped with all kinds of amenities you could wish for. The staff was also lovely and friendly.
There is a (DIY) laundry available in-house whhixh we used and much appreciated.
The location is great thanks to the fact that there is the railway station as well as metro and restaurant and cafés nearby. The ‚17coffee‘ was amazing (:

You can directly see Kunming Station while lying on the bed. It is definitely a room with a station view. The room facilities are novel, simple and clear. It follows the blue, yellow and gray style of 7 Days, which is fashionable, atmospheric and upscale. The hair dryer is from Laifen. Living near the railway station, travel is very convenient. You can take the bus, taxi or subway (a little further away) directly to wherever you want to go. It is the best choice for traveling to Kunming and I will choose it next time I come.

was a superb choice to stay here, the location is 10 mins via car ride from the kun ming railway station and most importantly the team is very professional yet warm in managing your experience. was given a free upgrade from my original room that was smaller, this room is huge! really ideal for couples / friends / family. The team would add you on wechat and even though I left my room on do not disturb, they checked in if i need anything like water refill. Plenty of food options for dinner / road side stalls at night and a nearby supermarket round the corner as well as 7-11. The washroom is smaller so if you are particular of the size of the washroom then book bigger rooms with bigger washrooms.

The hotel was new. The room looked spacious and clean. Although there was no breakfast provided, there were nice food options nearby within minutes and walk.
However, Hotel did never inform where to wait for the airport pickup shuttle bus during the entire booking, which is very inconvenient for international travellers. Although we added 华顾酒店前台1 as friend on WeChat and wanted to check where to wait for airport pick-up shuttle bus, we didn't get any reply. In the end, we had to make international call at the airport to the hotel to get such info.

Very convenient and helpful - had fluent English people on the phone and front desk which made all the difference as we could sort out pickup and drop off - though sometimes took a while before the phone was passed to them.
Everything was great though would have been nice to have more restaurants! Limited to only 2…

GGuest UserThe hotel has unbeatable location, which is just to the south of Cuihu Park. It is within walking distance to restaurants and tourist attractions. The rooms were clean. Those next to the main road could be a bit noisy at night. The breakfast was excellent where there were plenty of choices on offer, both western style and Chinese style. The staff were friendly.

DDexter50000I had the pleasure of staying at the hotel over the first week of September 2024 and I must say, it was an experience that exceeded my expectations. From the moment I stepped into the lobby, I was captivated by the hotel’s stunning aesthetic design. The blend of modern elegance with unique architecture created an atmosphere that felt both luxurious and welcoming.
The hotel is conveniently located next to a luxury mall with a supermarket in the basement where you can buy international groceries, pastries and fruits. Guests may also venture to other malls around the area or a night flea market that opens late into the night.
Buffet breakfast featured an extensive selection that included pastries, fresh fruits, pancakes, eggs cooked to order, and an array of dishes like congee with Yunnan spices. Food was good for a buffet spread, with staff ensuring that the buffet was well-replenished and clean.
What truly sets the hotel apart is its service. From the moment I arrived, staff was warm and attentive, ensuring that my every need was met. The front desk team was knowledgeable and eager to help. It was evident that the staff genuinely cared about creating a memorable experience for their guests.
Special mentions to Mila, who helped to facilitate the courier of my daughter's medicine, which I left behind at the hotel. Mila went out of the way to made sure that the medicine reached us on time. She kept us updated throughout the process. Communication was prompt and reassuring, which alleviated our worries.
Overall, I want to thank the hotel staff for making my stay a memorable one and I look forward to my return in future.

Pplushparadisecomfortable stay for a night stop over before an early flight the next day, it was a comfortable stay. the sheets were nice and soft. the toilet and showers are built such that they are individual cubicles, so the shower cubical doesn’t have any where to hang clothes/ towels, etc. all amenities provided, and there’s a laundry room with washer dryer to get your laundry sorted before continuing your trip.
shuttle bus to airport was 5am for a 7.40am flight, where it’s a “car pool” system, must book at time of check in.
night supper is a bowl of mien xian, basic. it’s a warm bowl to keep you going. there are no food options around outside of the building.

There are many local specialties shops and restaurants around within walking distance. Room decor and facilities are well-maintained. The staff are very helpful and pleasant. Hotel breakfast has good options. I am very satisfied with my stay at this hotel. Will definitely choose to stay at this hotel the next time I visit Kunming. Highly recommend!

GGuest UserWe are Americans from Hong Kong and traveled to Kunming for our Easter holiday. The positives of this hotel: 1. it was beautiful. The design and furnishings were very well done and the room itself was exceptionally clean. 2. The owners were so kind. We arrived way after the tea time hour, but they still provided our family with cappuccinos and fresh fruit, free of charge. Both were delicious and our children were so excited about the gourmet coffee art. 3. The mattress in the main bed area was very comfortable. Not a typical “hard” mattress like many hotels in China. Another bonus: it was actually a KING size, which we rarely see outside the US! 4. The breakfast was Chinese style and the rice noodles were delicious! The hotel also had a beautiful courtyard area to eat outside. A few items to be aware of: 1. although the hotel was in a neighborhood near the lake, the neighborhood itself was a bit strange. We could tell it was meant to be a beautiful, well-to-do neighborhood of modern villas, but more than half the neighborhood was unused and/or under construction so it wasn’t as lively feeling in the evening because it was so dark and desolate seeming. It was beautiful in the daylight though! 2. This is not a big hotel chain, just an independent boutique style hotel operating in one of these villas. 3. There are no optimal eating spots near the hotel. You have to take a 20-30 minute Didi (taxi) ride to the nearest area with a lot of restaurants. However, if you like street food, there is a street food carnival area about 10 minutes away via walking (walk north along boardwalk bordering the lake.)
Overall, because of the kindness of the owners, the cleanliness and modernity, delicious breakfast, and comfortable mattress, we would definitely choose this hotel again for a one-night stopover.

GGuest UserLocation was great that it was a walk away from the Kunming Railway Station where I needed to be to leave the city. I liked how it was near a lot of food places! The volunteer Evens was an interesting person to talk to when I learned about his background in what he does as an occupation and where he is originally from in China. The owner Winni was a nice person as well and I appreciated and enjoy her and some of the other guests that cooked for us the night that we had a big dinner. Thank you for being part of the chef crew Winni. Everybody who stayed at the place was respectful and considered towards one another in the way that they conducted themselves. Was able to go along with the rules of this hostel because it fit my daily habits. Nobody had any habits that bothered me.
Not really into the hostel type of stays, due to lack of privacy. Was just happy to stay at this place since it was pretty much right at the doorstep of the Kunming Railway station where I can catch my train on time where I wouldn't end up getting lost in the city which in turn would end up missing it.
The only negative thing that I didn't like was that the bathroom did not have bath towels and just regular hand towels where I would not be able to dry myself very well after showering. Because of this I didn't want to take a shower at this place and the fact that these towels were used repeatedly from other guests, which made me feel uncomfortable wanting to use it. Would come back to this Hostel again if I happen to have to come back to Kunming again where I needed to be near this train station to catch at train there.

SSanyarat Mungklang , Thailand.The location is near the metro. It's just 5 minutes walk. Easy to find this property. The girl at the front desk when I checked in is enthusiastic to help me. She almost doesn't speak English but she's had a lovely service mind.
This property is so close to the green lake park. I spend the time from this hostel to the park just 4 minutes walk.
It's worth to stay here and the price can afford for the solo travelers who want to save cost like me.

AAnonymous UserThe bed sheets are very clean, there is air conditioning, and there is an elevator. The hotel is quite big and the stay is very comfortable. It is a few kilometers away from the airport and can be reached in 9 minutes. The driver is also very considerate and helps with luggage on and off the bus. The hot water is also very nice. Back to the room, I took a hot bath in the winter. It was very comfortable. There are many snack bars around, which is very suitable for transit. I will stay at your house next time. The decoration of the room is very new.
