Hotel Ark

Very small rooms. Not even a chair provided. Had to ask for one. Had to take my dinner standing and placing the food in the Wardrobe shelf. A basic table and chair need to be provided, but space is a constraint.

We stayed at Hotel Lee Benz Ark in Kumbakonam, for two nights (1st and 2nd July 2025), and this was by far the worst hotel experience we’ve ever had. The service, facilities, and overall management were absolutely pathetic. From the moment we checked in, everything went downhill. We were three adults, but the room had only two towels, and we had to call repeatedly for the basic third one. Even worse, the extra bed they gave had no blanket—just a bare plank. No tissue rolls in the bathroom, no basic amenities, nothing they advertise online was actually available. Every single thing had to be asked and followed up multiple times. The Wi-Fi was another scam. it never connected properly, and even when it did, it was completely unusable. They claim to be a 3-star or 4-star property but this is a joke. The place wouldn’t even qualify as a decent budget lodge. Now comes the most inhuman part of our stay. At the time of booking, I specifically asked if driver accommodation was available & they said yes. I confirmed it again at check-in. But They asked my driver to sleep on a chair in the reception area on first day. Not just my driver, every other driver who came with guests that day was made to sleep at the reception. The next day, first they’ve told no rooms available for them. But after they told that they have to drive long way and they need proper sleep then this terrible hotel offered my driver a dirty, used checkout room mattress to sleep on. Disgusting and shameful. No decency, no humanity and extremely terrible service. Also, on the first day I requested for housekeeping before leaving the room at 8 AM. When I came back at 2 PM, the room was still untouched. The hotel is located in Tamil Nadu - in Kumbakonam but all house keeping staff were from north India n they didn’t speak Tamil. We didn’t know Hindi so it was a nightmare to explain the problem to them. Restaurant is too small and always busy. In summary, this place is a scam. They lie about their facilities, provide terrible service, treat people—especially drivers—like dirt, and are a complete waste of money. There are far better hotels in Kumbakonam that actually deliver what they promise. Avoid this place at all costs. Rating: -1 /5. Not worth a single rupee. Save your money and look for a better place.

This hotel is in the Kumbakonam city where you can go nearby famous temple that is Sri Sarangapani Temple and many more. Room are very spacious nice and clean .Washroom also neat and clean.Atmosphere is good for this temple town and value for the money of this hotel room. They also providing complimentary breakfast. In this hotel, Moshika Bhavan that is Restaurant which is 100% vegetarian and you will get multi cuisine food. All staffs are helpful and friendly as well as professional. Overall Satisfied.

Rooms neat & ckean, well maintained property, pure veg restaurant, complimentry breakfast lot of varieties, live dosai varieties,food awesome, all staff smiling face, kids friendness.Near sarangapani temple located hotel, front office staff augustin guiding good.

The service was great. The breakfast buffet was quite good as well. They had a good taxi or cab service attached to the hotel ,which was also very useful . Overall a good experience. The highlight was the view of the temple gopuram from the terrace.
