A must experience destination for any lover of traditional Indian culture, or serious eco tourist. Rich with information, this is one of the most well thought through and maintained properties. Steve Borgia has done a truly great service to the history and culture of Kumbakonam and surrounding areas, showcasing the magic of the past whilst creating inspiration for the future.

We stayed for 1 night as part of our south India group tour. We had a nice welcome and free 5min foot massage upon check-in. Loved our room which had a small balcony and a swing. Bathroom was basic but adequate. Food in main restaurant was decent but not as good as other hotels we had stayed in. Also we thought the hotel is vegetarian and were being served a chicken dish which we asked the guy to take back. Loved the bullock cart ride in evening. Also enjoyed seeing so many peacocks everywhere. Was nice to take lots of photographs at this hotel which seemed more like a museum. Cooking demonstration was not what we were expecting. We were hoping for more genuine south Indian dishes like dosa or pongal or south Indian vegetarian curry. Hotel has a pool but it was not very inviting on the day we checked in as it wasn't cleaned. However it was cleaned up the following morning when we were leaving. Hotel was good for 1 night stay and is worth experiencing for its lovely setting and tranquility

Vrinda is a gem of a person and she is upto mark in her work. Her management skills , her people approach skills are something people should learn of how to connect with others. The resort is very good and well maintained. Must visit place!!!!!

Excellent surroundings. Courteous service. Very close to nature Had a wonderful experience. The museum is a wonderful collection of artefacts from different era. With peacocks and other birds around, it was a very good experience. A very good place to spend with family and friends

We thoroughly enjoyed our family trip and felt right at home during our stay. The children had a wonderful time in the swimming pool and loved the pumpset bath. All of the staff were incredibly helpful and always greeted us with a smile. Our room was clean and tidy, and we were especially impressed by the warm welcome we received from the front office staff. The breakfast and dinner buffets offered a wide variety of delicious dishes that we loved. We will certainly visit again in the future.😍😍😍

We thoroughly enjoyed our recent two-night stay at your hotel. The Mint Palace Building has a truly unique and charming character. Our room was cool and spacious, and we especially loved the large balcony, which provided a relaxing outdoor space. The presence of the peacocks, goats, cows, ducks, puppies, and cats added a unique touch to the atmosphere, though we did note their vocalizations. The staff were consistently charming and helpful throughout our stay, which we greatly appreciated. The breakfast buffet offered a wide variety of live counters, with both continental and Indian cuisine, which was a delightful surprise. Overall, we had a wonderful stay and were particularly impressed by the attentiveness and eagerness of your staff.
