We have been staying at The Grand Katoch since 2019. With the change in management, we noticed change in staff attitude, food served and cleanliness go south. The hotel is located at one of the best locations. You can see the Rohtang- *** highway and the snow peaked Rohtang pass from right side rooms, and the lush apple orchards from the left side rooms. Unfortunately, the staff only does their job, nothing for customer service or customer experience. House keeping staff may respond or just might not. The dinner buffet (choice of food items) set up is ordinary. The taste is very basic. Some basic dishes (Aloo Gobhi was so oily, couldn't make out what dominates the dish, the vegetable or the oil, the yellow dal was bitter with the tadka) really need improvement. The room is neat & clean, washrooms not so clean, water leakage is there and the placement of WC and bathing area, inside the bathroom is weird, the water flows all around the washroom. It is good for a night stay or so, if the management doesn't look into these basic issues.
