Enjoyed our stay here for one evening on our motorcycle trip touring the Alps. Room was very comfortable and cozy. Bathroom was well-appointed although quite small and not much room by the sink to put your toiletries. Had a good hairdryer and plenty of hot water though. Wifi in room was good and there were enough outlets. It was very hot during our stay and there was no air conditioning but the woman at the front desk was able to find a floor fan and bring it to our room so we were able to sleep comfortably. Dinner at the hotel restaurant was good. A bit on the expensive side and not a lot of choices but we were happy with it. The chef even sent out a small sample plate for us as a courtesy. The breakfast was very good with quite a few choices. We would definitely stay here again if we are ever in the area.

Alpenrose offers a cozy and elegant lunch in a serene setting. Weather you're dining inside the warm interior or the open patio, the service and food is excellent. I had a fresh mountain trout for lunch, which was perfectly cooked. I would certainly recommend this spot for lunch or dinner.

At 09:00 🕘 pm we had a drink on the pitch dark terrace of this ****hotel. At 10:00 pm 🕙 total blackout outside. Room is sober, wall to wall carpet with stains, mini bar missing, curtains torn, mirror in bathroom missing, box for tissues on the floor, keyless of the room defective, aso. Not professional.

Absolutely great surprise. Location might be not very good, but the hotel is amazing - clean, modern and welcoming. The restaurant and the food.....superb. Very friendly and nice staff. A place to relax.

Booked twice within 14 days for a stopover. The first time (Friday) very good and motivated staff. Rooms older and in need of renovation, great breakfast. Drink on the terrace in the evening. Second visit (Sat). At 3pm only reception was open, we wanted to go to the restaurant in the evening, which we were curious about 14 days ago. It is closed on Sat, Sun and Mon. Drink on the terrace: Not possible - closed! We heard that it has been sold and will be demolished in the autumn. So nothing else is necessary.

There were four of us in the Alpenrose and we had booked the family room. Reception, service, staff - great! The hotel itself has certainly seen better days. Our room (221) was very worn. The carpet was completely matted, the sofa bed in the living room squeaked with every movement, the beds in the bedroom were saggy, the blinds were broken, so everything was in urgent need of renovation. The sauna area is very unloving, there is no relaxation room to speak of, the fitness equipment is also there, everything is not very well thought out. The breakfast buffet is great! It is about 15 minutes walk into town. We would not come back under these circumstances.

The booking itself was a bit strange. I made a request for a standard double room, I got the offer and when I wanted to accept a few hours later, the standard rooms were all booked and I had to book the next category. In the hotel, however, we noticed that it was not very busy. The hotel is about a 20-minute walk from the train station. Since we arrived at midday, we were able to leave our suitcases in the hotel. The hotel looks very attractive from the outside and we also liked the entrance area, the reception and what we could see of the seminar rooms. After waiting 15 minutes for the receptionist (despite ringing several times, asking the cleaning staff where the receptionist was...) we were checked in, but understandably we were not able to move into the rooms yet. We were only given the most necessary information (breakfast, bus), the wellness area was not mentioned at all and if we needed restaurant tips, we were told to ask her colleague who was on duty in the evening. We were also promised that when we got to our room in the evening, our suitcases would already be there - but that wasn't the case. Unfortunately, we discovered a few problems in the room. The room door had to be closed with extreme pressure, otherwise it wouldn't stay closed. When we didn't lock the room and opened the patio door, the room door suddenly opened. The small mirror in the bathroom was missing, instead there was only the holder provided for it. The moldy silicone strips in the shower were impossible to miss and the holder for the shower head was also broken, which meant that the shower head kept falling down. When we wanted to take the lift down to reception, the button didn't work. When we told the receptionist this, she said in her defense that they were on holiday next week anyway and that these problems would be fixed then. I thought I wasn't hearing correctly... I want to experience excellent comfort in the hotel even in the week before a holiday. Or should I have planned my holiday around the hotel's holiday? Speaking of holiday: It's not exactly advantageous when the hotel restaurant is closed for holiday during the Austrian autumn holidays. One positive thing to mention is the breakfast buffet, which was varied and plentiful. The staff was always friendly and in a good mood. We particularly liked the Kufsteinerlandcard, which allows you to use all public transport in Kufstein from the day of arrival to the day of departure, and also includes some excursions. However, as the hotel's shortcomings outweigh its advantages and the four stars are in no way justified, we cannot recommend the hotel and will not book it again - unfortunately, it certainly has a lot of potential.
