I've sadly just returned home from this beautiful resort . Flying from Heathrow direct, followed by a 40 minutes domestic flight, then a 40 minutes speedboat ride. Resort staff meet you at Male Airport and take you to the domestic flight terminal, they then meet you to escort you to the speedboat. With staff then waiting on the jetty with complimentary welcome drink. As this was my first time traveling alone, I found this really helpful. You are given a dedicated Host throughout your stay and I was lucky to get Ameen, whom checked in with me throughout my stay in person and through Watts app should I need anything. Thank you Ameen.🙂 The resort is made up of Ocean view villas and lagoon side villas, which are spacious, cleaned daily and the open air bathrooms with large free standing bath and in door and open air showers are stunning. It is easy to walk around the island along the edge of the sea watching reef shark swimming besides you. Even spotting rays some days and different fish. This is my 3rd visit to the Maldives and for me this is my favourite island so far. There is snorkeling off the beach and a free boat trip to the house reef which is a 5 minutes boat ride, always with members of the water sports team mostly Brando and Abo to accompany you and help you if required. These guys are great 😊 They offer a number of payable excursions which for me have been worth every penny, Turtle point - was simply amazing, turtles and most species of marine fish, Clown fish, powder blue tangs you name it! On the speedboat ride there we came across dolphins which swam around the boat. This trip ticked so many things off my bucket list. Then I went to Coral Reef- ok so, more turtles, Stingray, black tip reef shark and beautiful Coral. For me these trips have been the best unspoiled snorkeling I have ever seen. Having done so in many different countries. I've always wanted to try diving but been nervous. We'll I plucked up the courage and was not disappointed. Mohan the dive instructor, explained everything in great detail, I signed up for the discover scuba which was a great price. I had some training off the jetty one to one and I did panic a few times, but he calmed my down and gave me the confidence to do it. We then went out on a boat for the dive. Truly breathtaking, again he was so professional always checking if I and the other diver was ok the coral and fish we're beautiful. Another bucket list tick. Thank you Mohan for your patience 😊 There are free paddle boards and kayaks available along with other activities, some chargeable. The food for me was good and I had no complaints. Overall the island is a more natural island, unspoiled, not over developed and truly a slice of paradise. Would recommend this resort especially if you want to go diving or snorkeling in a natural environment. Until the next time....
