Hotels near Kampung Budaya Sarawak in Kuching

I booked for my mom, and she’s happy about the room. The hotel is very near by the airport, but it’s not walked able. You can use grabtaxi it cost about 6-10 RM. There’s no shop or minimarket around the hotel, so its better to use taxi. The room was clean and quite spacious. For business/transit hotel it was good! Thank you Raia Hotel!

The hotel is located next to Boulevard Shopping Mall with lots of shops, restaurants and food center. Hotel Room was clean and comfortable. Breakfast was good but menu should be improved.

great service ,been upgrade to executive suite room, receptionist is super friendly and nice, attend to customer promptly. breakfast was awesome, a lot choices.

It's a nice place~ The clerk is super nice~ Shopping is also very convenient, close to aiman mall, summer mall and lepapa~ There are a lot of modification shops downstairs, so it can be noisy at night.

During check in it coincided with a big group. Nobody manages the queue and my ageing parents had to wait for everyone else to check in first before our turn. The receptionist did not specify the floor where my parents, only found out later they put us at different floors, and refused to change room to the same floor for us. We're staying for 4 nights. Staff attitude is bad. Had to validate room keys everyday (receptionist never told us) and the key can only access to the room floor so created a lot of inconvenience to us. Not to mention the lift broke down on the first day with someone trapped inside and the hotel staff didn't seem to have any sense or urgency to resolve the issue. Terrible hotel with terrible front desk. I will not recommend anyone to stay here.

We booked this hotel because of it's close proximity to the Sarawak General Hospital - a relative had a serious medical emergency, which meant alot of uncertainty and long waiting hours for us. Having a base at the Regatta Suites meant that we could be within walking distance to the hospital, but were still able to rest in comfort at the hotel while waiting for news from the hospital. The Regatta Suites is thoroughly and thoughtfully appointed - little things like the built in USB charging points made a huge difference for us indeed. The beds were big and comfortable with spotless fresh linen. The AC worked like a charm, even during the blazing hot afternoon. The staff were also very accommodating - they promptly and cheerfully brought up a set of fresh towels for us when we returned to our room after midnight. Even though we are from Kuching, we stayed for about 4 or 5 nights at the Regatta Suites, and it made a real difference to be able to be so close to the hospital during the critical moments. very convenient location. Walking distance to all the restaurants, malls and goods. Good rooms with spacious apartment facilities. Can cook and eat if you want to. Provided fridge, cooking vessels and an electric cooker.

Room is quite basic but water in the shower is very strong! Aircon was working well too. There is a smell from the fridge, seems like it has not been cleaned for some time. The lifts were quite old too but for the price, it’s expected. Overall, considered good stay.

New hotel in Kuching, latest addition. Beautiful building architecture, the existence of Sheraton made Kuching city look stunning at night. I was at the hotel for a weekend team offsite meeting. All of the feedback I got from our colleagues from West Malaysia - the staff were warm and friendly. The food was nice, only feedback - the coffee served from the machine gets cold too fast probably due to the cold air-conditioning. Hopefully this hotel will improve further their services and stay on top of things!

The superior room with city view is comfortable and cosy with a spacious work zone. The in-room wired internet access is indeed convenient for business travellers. There's a sofa and a coffee table with a big LCD TV that you can unwind and entertain yourself. The only shortcoming probably is the toiletries amenities provided pretty limited. Only two pieces of soap were provided for the superior room. My room comes with a buffet breakfast but I overslept and missed it. The room pictures that I posted is a junior suite room from my previous stay which is double the size of a superior room with a separate living and dining area. The hotel used to serve very tasty Nasi Lemak but sadly to say that it's no longer the same anymore after a few decades.
