We were welcomed with open arms. Great place in the middle of the town. Easily access to parking. Extra info to all. The toiletries only have a shampoo, a bar soap and liquid body soap. No toothbrush. There is a bit of stain on the bedding. A bit old school on the air-conditioning but it's still perfectly functional. The toilet is clean. The hotel was actually next to high school. So sometimes there is club practice and you will hear the school band playing. The water dispenser on my level which is supposed to be cold is warm. And hot still hot. The water dispenser on the ground floor is broken. Only hot water can be used. And Girls the iron and iron board will be outside in the balcony. Overall just for sleeping it was perfectly ok.

This hotel located about 10km from Kuantan City. There are lots of warung/cafe nearby thus not to concern should you want to have your lunch or dinner.Local dishes. We took seaview bedroom with 2 king size beds. The only room available when i make the booking for me & wife. The room is spacious & seaview is lovely. Just few meter away behind the hotel is the beach. I don’t see many people swimming since the water is yellowish colour (about 5 meter from the shore). We enjoy watching fisherman go to the sea.A tractor take the boat to the shore. You need to be at the beach around 6.40 am to watch the event. Breakfast is so-so. Not too bad not too good. Acceptable to full your stomach. If you preffer hotel with pool, this is not for you. Overall we are happy to stay here.

The first apartment we were given was in a terrible state, dirty, infested with ants and horrible mattress on which we could barely sleep. We complained and the Nepalese desk staff was very helpful and let us move to a different apartment which was better. For some reason all the ceiling fans have been removed from both the apartments we saw, leaving wires hanging from the ceilings. Upon request, a ceiling fan was fitted in the master bedroom for us, but not in the living room, I had to borrow a fan from family - I have no wish to sit in aircon all day and pay for the electricity. Housekeeping is carried out once a week, by 2 more Nepalese guys (Nepal must be the latest source for slave labour) who did a reasonable but basic job. They don't have sheets big enough for the bed, have to put 2 smaller ones overlapping, the towels are so old and threadbare, at home I would use them for cleaning the car only. The pool is good, although not regularly cleaned and there's a small mini shop on site for essentials. The main reason for my 'poor' rating is the renovation work that is going on. It portrays a complete disregard for paying guests when they know which apartment I am staying in yet they decide to do noisy renovations in all the surrounding apartments to me. Apparently it's OK, because it's only between 9 am and 5 pm (actually nearer 6). Well actually, it's not OK, as that's when I am in during the heat of the day. The rooms will look better once renovated, they will charge an extra RM1000 p/m and, I suspect, the same lackadaisical attitude to running the place will prevail. Although Wifey doesn't like to stay at Tembeling, I will be seriously looking there for my next visit to Kuantan.
